Ben Affleck looked like he traveled back in time on the set of his new movie.
The 48-year-old was spotted rocking a retro costume and lighting up a cigarette while filming The Tender Bar in his hometown of Boston on Wednesday.
George Clooney directs the upcoming drama which is based on a New York Times best-selling memoir of the same name.

Stepping on set as his character in the film, Uncle Charlie, Ben sported fluffy tousled 1970s hair, tight light washed jeans, a retro polo shirt and vintage brown leather jacket.
The actor also rocked some aviator sunglasses and was smoking a cigarette as he walked to an old car.
Looking thinner than usual, Ben’s high cheek bones were visible above a thick brown beard.
The Tender Bar is a coming-of-age story based on J. R. Moehringer’s best-selling memoir of the same name. Affleck plays a bar owner who looks after his nephew.

It’s being filmed in Affleck’s neck of the woods near Boston where he grew up alongside brother Casey Affleck and best friend Matt Damon.
‘Ben is excited to be in Boston,’ a source recently told People. ‘He and George are happy to be reunited and working together again.’
A production source also said that ‘Affleck comes prepared and ready to film. He and George are great to work with.’

It was added that the Batman star, ‘is in a good place.’
The director of the movie is Clooney, who has been behind the camera for the hit projects The Midnight Sky, Catch-22, The Monuments Men, The Ides Of March, Leatherheads, Good Night, And Good Luck as well as Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind.
And George was a producer on Ben’s hit film Argo, which Ben directed and starred in.
The Oscar winner is fresh off of a breakup with actress and former co-star Ana de Armas.

Armas and Affleck, who met on the set of Deep Water, began dating in March 2020 and were practically inseparable during lockdown.
The ‘painful’ split was reported to be ‘as amicable as can be’ with sources insisting the pair still have ‘a lot of love’ for one another.
An insider previously said: ‘There is a lot of love still between the two of them. The split is as amicable as can be.’
Meanwhile, Ben has three kids – daughters Violet, 15, and Seraphina, 12, and son Samuel, eight – with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

Ben and Jen have as amiable a relationship as exes can have as they share co-parenting duties. The actress was also supportive of her ex during his most recent battle with substance abuse, even going so far as to drive him to a rehab facility for treatment.
Garner recently changed her mind on one of her famous quotes from the early days of her separation from Ben Affleck.
The 48-year-old actress told Vanity Fair in 2016 that ‘I lost the dream of dancing with my husband at my daughter’s wedding.’
However in a new Hollywood Reporter interview she smiled and said: ‘When our kids get married, we’ll dance, I know that now.’
