Worries: Sienna Miller has discussed her battle with anxiety and her fear of criticism around her work

Sienna explained: ‘It would be a total lie to say that I don’t want people to respond positively. I had to dig extremely deep, so it would break my heart if everyone said: ‘She’s s**t’… I’ve never gone back and watched films I’ve been in…

‘I haven’t even seen them all! I had moments when I was younger where there would be a screening of some of the first films I did and I would watch in a total state of anxiety wishing that I had worked harder. I was very, very critical.’

Sienna burst on to screens in 2001 in romantic comedy South Kensington, where she starred opposite Rupert Everett and Elle Macpherson.

Three years later her career hit a turning point when she appeared in Layer Cake as the love-interest of a cocaine supplier before going on to star in Alfie with Jude Law, with whom she had an extremely high-profile romance and later split.

Sienna said she sympathised with Britney, 39, while watching ‘unmanageable’ moments where the singer ‘cracked’ in explosive documentary, Framing Britney Spears, which looks into her life and controversial conservatorship.

Speaking in an interview with The Guardian‘s G2 supplement, Sienna said: ‘I was definitely a victim of that, and I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know how anyone could.’

Sienna, who admitted in 2017 that her former ‘party girl days’ were ‘hurtful to her career’, was previously one of the It girls of the London social scenes.
