British Airways flight declares emergency in mid-air on way from Heathrow to Aberdeen and is forced to divert to Manchester

A British Airways flight to Aberdeen has been forced to land at Manchester Airport after declaring an emergency.

Flight BA1306 left Heathrow this morning at 10.39am and should have arrived at Aberdeen by 11.51am.

However, flight radar software shows the flight has since landed at Manchester Airport.

The nature of the emergency is not known at this stage.

British Airways and Manchester Airport have been contacted for comment.
