Kyly Clarke says she’s teaching her daughter Kelsey, five, to be ‘strong, fierce and driven’ in heartwarming International Women’s Day tribute as the duo enjoy a fun-filled day at the zoo together

Former WAG Kyly Clarke has shared a touching tribute to her five-year-old daughter Kelsey-Lee, as the pair celebrated International Women’s Day with a trip to the zoo. 

The doting mum, 39, shared a picture holding her little girl – who she shares with her ex-husband Michael Clarke – on Monday, as they stood in front of a giraffe enclosure while spending some quality time together.

‘Teach them young to be strong, fierce, kind, gentle, driven, passionate and compassionate. #internationalwomensday Love towards Women,’ Kyle wrote.

The image in question showed Kyly dressed in a purple T-shirt and a leopard-print skirt, teamed with a pair of white trainers.

Her beaming little girl looked so ecstatic at the action-packed day out, as she donned a pretty yellow jumper and white skirt.

Kyly and her cricketer ex-husband Michael, 39, are still on very amicable terms as they co-parent their daughter together.

Her inspirational post comes just two weeks after the marital home she once shared with Michael sold for just under $10million.

According to realestate.com.au, the mansion, located in the upmarket Sydney suburb of Vaucluse, was sold in a secret deal.

Michael and his former TV star wife bought the stunning five-bedroom home for $8.5million in 2014.

They acquired the home on March 21, after the previous owners agreed to drop the price down from $9.5 million, Fairfax Media reported at the time.

He and Kyly moved in to the Vaucluse mansion in early May 2014 – where they soon started their family, with daughter Kelsey Lee arriving the following year in 2015.

The couple announced their split in February last year, after seven years together, however it is believed they actually split quietly five months earlier.

The athlete was believed to have started dating designer Pip Edwards shortly after the split, in September 2019.

However, it’s understood Michael and Pip, 41, split in recent weeks, less than a year after they went public with their romance.
