Ines Basic claims Married At First Sight fights are SCRIPTED

One of Married At First Sight‘s biggest stars has claimed that parts of the hit show are fabricated.

Speaking to the Unpopular podcast, season six villain Ines Basic admitted that her infamous boat fight with TV husband Bronson Norrish was partially scripted.

‘That boat scene, half of that was scripted by my producer,’ the 31-year-old confessed.

‘Half of that was scripted by my producer!’ Married At First Sight’s most infamous villain Ines Basic (pictured) has claimed that some of her bad behaviour was scripted by producers

‘That was my producer, half of that was so fake!’ she continued.

Ines admitted that one of her most memorable lines, where she threatened to cut the cord on Bronson’s parasail so he’d ‘sail away into the sky’, was fed to her by a producer.

However, the brunette bride said that things soon turned real as she became increasingly stressed on the boat ride, which led to her having a panic attack and subsequent meltdown.

‘I had a bad experience over in Mexico with a similar activity, so I already had anxiety about it,’ she explained.

‘You know when you’re so stressed out and you’re literally having a panic attack? You can’t talk to anyone, you don’t want to be near anyone,’ she said.

‘But what you couldn’t see on [Bronson’s] end was him pushing me and pushing me, and they didn’t air that, but on his end he’s pushing my buttons and making it worse.

‘And then I just snapped. So that part where I snapped and said “shut up” that was real, but the rest, my producer was like “amp it up!”‘

Ines also revealed that producers told her that she’d be portrayed as the ‘funny girl’ of the season, so she was completely blindsided to come off the show and be portrayed as a villain.

In a previous interview, Ines compared doing Married At First Sight to being on a ‘film set’.

She also admitted that some of her other memorable lines came from producers, including some of her insults towards rival Elizabeth Sobinoff.

‘Some days I would just do what [producers] told me so they could just f**k off and I could go to bed,’ she told the Private Parts podcast.

However, the unfiltered bride told Unpopular that some thing on the show were authentic, including her infamous affair with Sam Ball.

She did say that she never slept with the male model though, and blamed editing for making it look like the pair had consummated their illicit tryst.

Married At First Sight’s executive producer has previously stated that the series is real and not scripted like some people have claimed.

‘I do believe that the biggest conception out there is that reality is contrived and some people think it’s scripted,’ she told Stuff in 2017.

‘Married at First Sight is the classic case of you watch it and you cannot believe this stuff has actually happened and you think this has to be the hand of the producer and it’s not,’ she added.

‘That is the most rewarding thing about making this show is that it is like a gift from the TV gods with some of the stuff that happens.’
