Celebs in the UK flooded social media with posts to celebrate World Book Day, which has been observed annually since 1995.

Rochelle Humes led the stars helping their kids mark the event this year, with her daughter Alaia-Mai, seven, dressing up as Willy Wonka from the Roald Dahl’s classic novels Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator.

Formula One heiress Tamara Ecclestone joined in on the fun from Dubai as her eldest child Sophia, six, channelled her inner mythical creature by taking inspiration from Lucy Rowland’s book There’s No Such Thing As Unicorns.

Amanda Holden also played dress up during her Heart Breakfast show, with the TV and radio presenter, 50, emulating Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, while co-stars Ashley Roberts and Jamie Theakston became Alice and The Mad Hatter respectively.

Putting on a leggy display, the Britain’s Got Talent judge wore a card-inspired dress, complete with a dramatic collar and dipped hemline. 

The mother-of-two boosted her figure in black ankle boots, while a spiked crown served as her key accessory. Amanda maintained the red theme by sporting classic lipstick and drew a small black heart underneath her left eye.
