She was nominated for an Academy Award for her first and only time in the year 2000, but lost the statuette to Angelina Jolie.

And Chloe Sévigny looked to be deep in conversation on Wednesday, perhaps about a new role, when she was spotted chatting on her smartphone whilst crossing the street in New York City.

The Brown Bunny star, 46, wore a cozy brown fur coat with the lapels flapped up to keep warm.

Chloe‘s coat hung to just below her knees.

Underneath, she wore medium wash denim skinny jeans. 

She had on large tortoiseshell cat eye sunglasses, and a white disposable face mask over her mouth and nose as protection against the coronavirus pandemic.

Sevigny had her cream knit winter cap stuffed into one coat pocket, as she let her blonde hair out to breathe.

It was sleek against her head and parted at the middle.

Chloe gesticulated as she walked and talked, displaying a red manicure.

On her feet, she wore pointy toed heeled tan suede boots with zippers on the sides.

The actress first made waves at the age of 20 in 1995’s shocking indie drama Kids, in which she played a character dismayed to discover her HIV-positive diagnosis.

Five years later, she scored an Oscar nod for Best Supporting Actress for her role opposite Hillary Swank in the biopic Boys Don’t Cry, about the life and murder of transgender man Brandon Teena.

In 2010, Chloe scored a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for her television role on HBO’s Big Love, about a polygamist family.

And on the personal side, Chloe is mom to baby boy Vanja, whom she shares with her partner, Croatian gallery director Sinisa Mackovic.

The pair have been dating since 2018, and they became parents to little Vanja last May.
