MAFS Australia star Jessika Power insists producers tricked her into ‘propositioning’ Nic Jovanovic

Married at First Sight Australia star Jessika Power claims producers tricked her into ‘propositioning’ Nic Jovanovic – and says they plied her with booze to stir up trouble.

The influencer, 29, told MailOnline she was made to look like a ‘f***ing sl*t’ by the makers of the dating show when she was filmed ‘hitting on’ Nic, 30, the same night she instigated a romance with Dan Webb, 36 – despite both men being married.

In an exclusive interview, Jess claimed Nic was pressurised by TV bosses to say she was flirtatious at filming of the show’s final commitment ceremony, and it wasn’t until 3am before he finally gave in to their demands.

She even alleges that Dan, who was her boyfriend at the time after the pair ditched Tamara Joy, 31, and Mick Gould, 33, so they could be together, knew of the ‘manipulated’ scene – but he still pretended to be ‘shocked’ as the incriminating clip was played to the rest of the cast.

Speaking about her ‘flirtation’ with Nic, who was married to ‘Cyclone’ Cyrell Paule, Jess said: ‘It was actually nothing.

‘That was probably the only part of my journey on the show that was massively manipulated; they made it look like I had hit on two guys. It really annoys me – it is the one thing I am constantly explaining to people.

‘Nic’s like “how can you even be bothered?” and I’m like “because it’s my character, I look like a f****** sl*t!” A lot of it got edited so I looked like this banshee that’s like “give me your husband!” It wasn’t really like that.

‘I’m not this evil husband-stealing witch that doesn’t care about anyone and has no empathy. Nic would vouch for this now that our contracts have ended with channel Nine as well.’

Producers told Jess to have a conversation with Nic after his marriage to Cyrell reached breaking point following an explosive row she had with Martha Kalifatidis.

Jess explained: ‘I said to Nic he’s a really great guy and deserved to have someone really awesome and “Cyrell is not the right person for you” and he’s really laughing and says “I’ve just never been hit on like this.”

‘In my head I’m thinking “you little s***, don’t you dare!” I said to him “I am not hitting on you” – that’s when it ended, and when the cameras stopped rolling he turned around and put his finger up at me and laughed.

‘The reunion where everyone asked did I proposition him and Nic said maybe she did, he actually sat there seven times and said “no, she didn’t” because we both knew what happened.

‘It was 3am and a producer came out and said “Nic, I don’t give a f*** how long we have to sit here for and replay this, you’re going to say she propositioned you because it looks that way on the edit and I don’t care.”

‘Nic looked at me and I looked at him and I just shrugged my shoulders like, whatever. Dan knew about this conversation as well so his little shocked act on the sofa p***ed me off as well.’

Jess claims her outrageous scenes were triggered by alcohol and producers deliberately served her dark spirits at the infamous dinner parties after she previously advised them whisky and rum sparked her loose lips.

She said: ‘I was p***ed every single dinner party! The producers would never let anybody drink dark spirits but after a while they learned the one thing that would get me to open my mouth and get the big spoon out and start stirring was dark spirits.

'How f***ing cringeworthy is it?': Jess revealed she and Dan briefly split after the show's final episode was filmed but their relationship ended for good during a live TV interview

‘How f***ing cringeworthy is it?’: Jess revealed she and Dan briefly split after the show’s final episode was filmed but their relationship ended for good during a live TV interview

‘It was at the point with the dinner parties where I would sit down at the table and there would be a Jack Daniel’s and coke or a rum and coke already sitting there… it’s so bad of them to do that. At the time I hated being there so I wasn’t going to say no!’

Jess revealed she and Dan briefly split after the show’s final episode was filmed but their relationship ended for good during a live TV interview, where she claims she was ambushed.

She said: ‘We were together the entire time the show aired in Australia and we just fought because I got to see how him and Tamara were and I was like “babe, she actually really liked you” when he said the whole time there was nothing there.

‘There were a lot of lies that in the long run made me look really bad. Then we broke up on live TV! I’m not even joking. How f***ing cringeworthy is it?

‘I found out it was pre-planned by Dan, Tamara showed me text messages from him to her saying “make sure you watch tonight it’s going to be TV gold!”‘

'Women drag other women down': The dating show has been criticised for showing women in a negative light, after brides such as Jess and Ines Basic were portrayed as 'home wreckers'

‘Women drag other women down’: The dating show has been criticised for showing women in a negative light, after brides such as Jess and Ines Basic were portrayed as ‘home wreckers’

The dating show, which concluded in the UK on Monday after captivating British viewers, has been criticised for showing women in a negative light, after brides such as Jess and Ines Basic, 31, were portrayed as ‘home wreckers.’

But Jess claims herself and Ines were not the only villains.

Indeed, Jess told MailOnline that Jules Robinson, 38, who’s now officially married to husband Cam Merchant, 37, made vile comments about her which were not aired on the hit series.

She revealed the now mother-of-one was told by one of the show’s relationship experts to tone down her comments after she accused Jess of making up reasons for not wanting to be intimate with ex-husband, Mick.

She said: ‘Married at First Sight is a show viewed predominately by women.

‘Us women, we sit here and say lets boost each other up and have each other’s backs but a lot of the time women drag other women down. It’s not the men you know?

‘The second a young girl walks into a room and she’s good looking, she’s vivacious and has energy, she’s instantly a threat and this green eyed monster comes out in everybody and there’s a bit of jealousy.

‘I even got horrible comments from Jules and she’s everybody’s favourite. At one of the commitment ceremonies, Mel, who’s one of the relationship experts, she had to actually stop Jules and all the women and say “Jessika is a young girl and however she chooses to treat her body is how she chooses to treat it.”

‘We were talking about intimacy and I said how I didn’t want to sleep with Mick and Jules said “I’m finding it really hard to believe you because Jess, one minute you have your period and the next minute your nan is dead” – because my nan died during filming and I said I didn’t want to sleep with Mick because I was grieving.

‘Little comments like that… it’s sad that as women we just drag each other down when there’s that tiniest little bit of uncertainty or jealousy.’
