Married At First Sight stars have made thousands of dollars from sponsored posts over the years, after their five minutes of fame begins to fizzle out once their season comes to an end.
But prior to her season airing in January, current MAFS star Samantha Harvey appeared to take a swipe at influencers in an unearthed Facebook post while shopping for powertools in her local Makita store.
Alongside a picture of herself kicking her leg in the air in glee, the 31-year-old wrote: ‘You won’t be seeing me flogging vibrators and gym meals!’

The cheeky jab of course seemed to reference many of the past MAFS stars such as Martha Kalifatidis and Jessika Power, who regularly share sponsored paid-for posts to earn extra money.
Just last month, it was revealed by Angelic Diamonds that Jules Robinson, 38, earns an impressive $81,000 per year spruiking products to her 581,000 followers.
This figure was estimated by comparing advertising rates for influencers with factors such as follower count and engagement levels.

Martha Kalifatidis is not far behind with 520,000 followers and an estimated annual income of about $74,000.
Elizabeth Sobinoff is also believed to be pocketing approximately $58,000 per year.
Samantha hasn’t had the easiest ride on MAFS so far, after her husband Cameron Dunne declared their relationship as ‘over’ in week one.

Speaking to the Today show on Tuesday, Samantha said the newlyweds will have a counselling session with relationship expert John Aiken to address Cameron’s ‘outward aggression’ in an upcoming episode.
‘That outward aggression and outward avoidance masks the inner sensitivity, I presume,’ Today show host Karl Stefanovic theorised.
Samantha agreed, admitting: ‘I think we need help talking and communicating.
‘This week (on the show) we are going to see a lot of things being sorted out’.
