Nick Jonas pulls double duty as host and musical guest on SNL as brother Kevin puts him on the spot

Nick Jonas reunited with his famous brothers in 2019, when they reformed their beloved pop trio the Jonas Brothers.

But the two-time Grammy nominee is currently busy promoting his fourth solo album Spaceman, which drops March 12.

He pulled double duty this weekend, serving as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live, where his older brother Kevin Jonas made a surprise appearance to put him on the spot about their group’s fate.

The 28-year-old introduced himself, as he made his hosting debut with the opening monologue: ‘My name is Nick Jonas, which is short for Nicholas Jonas Brothers.’

He pointed out Kevin, 33, in the audience, who had a question: ‘Are we good? Because I see you’re doing a lot of solo stuff. Are we still a band?’

‘Of course,’ Nick answered nonchalantly, as Kevin kept pressing: ‘Are you sure? Because I just bought a house.’

The oldest Jonas brother made a reference to their ’90s musical brother trio predecessors Hanson, following up: ‘Another question: MMMBop… was that us?’

Nick kicked off the show as fitness trainer Nathan, who guides Mikey Day and Chris Redd in an exercise, from the one of those popular home workout mirrors.

‘If you wanna make some major gains, I’m your man,’ he said, as Heidi Gardner introduced herself as trainer Christa.

Kate McKinnon then appears as a middle-aged woman in casual mom attire, introducing herself: ‘My name is Shannon Delgado, I’m trapped inside the mirror. I’m in a cold dark void. If you can hear me, get me out of this!’

Mikey and Chris are practically unfazed by her appearance, before she comes back and explains: ‘I was rude to a fortune teller, and now I’m here. I need you to call my husband Ronald Delgado and tell him not to get remarried.’

It continues to cycle through the other trainers, as Nick mentions: ‘Pro tip: don’t listen to Shannon Delgado, she’s a liar.’

Kate is then joined by Pete Davidson, playing a demon named Azuzel, who shouts at her in a frightening voice: ‘Work!’

She shows them how to stretch as demon Pete watches over her shoulder, before she makes a break for it, cutting across Nick’s screen.

‘Praise to Azuzel,’ Nick proclaims at the end of his session, before Kate gives them a spell to say, which frees her and traps Mikey in her place.

Nick joined Chloe Fineman, Ego Nwodim, Melissa Villaseñor and Kate McKinnon for a musical tribute to true crime documentaries.

He plays Chloe’s boyfriend in the sketch, leaving to go out for the night, as she stays behind to fall into her obsession with ‘murder shows.’

The ladies sing about their favorite documentaries and the gruesome details, as well as the podcasts they inevitably end up listening to afterward.

Nick comes home to find Chloe deep in a binge, appearing shocked with her habit before offering a ‘type of show that’s even better than murder shows.’

He launches into his own verse, singing about ‘cult shows’ before Melissa chimes in: ‘And don’t forget baking shows.’

The Scream Queens actor played Prince Charming in a reimagining of Cinderella, which is bound to ruin some childhoods.

He comes searching for his mystery woman, revealing her glass slipper, which is much smaller than human size.

Nick says it’s a standard size, as the evil stepmother (Kate McKinnon) asks him: ‘You serious? It’s like a monopoly piece.’

‘Do you think it’s like a child’s shoe?’ as one of the stepsisters (Cecily Strong) responds: ‘No, but I don’t like how casually you asked that.’

Chloe Fineman, who plays Cinderella, tells him: ‘Well my feet are pretty small. They don’t feed me enough to go through puberty.’

A talking mouse played by Aidy Bryant appears on a pedestal next to Nick, as she claims the shoe.

‘Dude, you banged a mouse?’ Kate asks him, as he clarifies: ‘She wasn’t a mouse, she was a human woman.’

Aidy corrects him: ‘Dude, I don’t know what drugs you were on, but it definitely didn’t affect your performance at all.’

‘Relax prince, I’m totally cool. I’ll have the baby, no problemo,’ she assures him, adding: ‘It’s probably more like 12 babies, but don’t worry, I’ll eat a couple of them.’

Ego Nwodim revived her impression of Dionne Warwick for another episode of The Dionne Warwick Show.

She brings out The Weeknd (Kenan Thompson), whom she immediately asks: ‘What is your whole situation?’

‘Now Mr. Weeknd, you are addicted to plastic surgery, correct?’ she poses, in reference to the gauze-wrapped visuals of his album After Hours, following it up by asking if that’s why he can’t feel his face.

Ego then brings out Nick, asking him about his new role on The Voice: ‘I heard you are the most boring coach, even though one of the other coaches is John Legend. How is that possible?’

She slips in a question about if he fights with his famous brothers before asking: ‘Could you fight Wendy Williams for me?’

The host then pulls out a photo of his wife Priyanka Chopra, telling him: ‘Your wife looks like this. Now show us your penis.’

Melissa Villaseñor plays her next guest Dua Lipa, whom she asks: ‘Now, why would you make your name nasty? That’s Spanish for ‘two lips.’ You’re a hussy in disguise.’

Ego offers another question: ‘Wendy Williams once called you Dula Peep. My question is, should we egg her house?’

She welcomes Machine Gun Kelly (Pete Davidson) as her final guest, demanding as soon as he sits down: ‘No, no, no. Get him out of here, he is too scary.’

Nick appeared in the final skit of the night with Kate McKinnon, playing two strangers in a bar who enjoy a bizarre seduction.

‘I didn’t see you there,’ he says with her back to her, as Kate responds: ‘You still don’t, you’re looking the wrong way.’

They attempt flirting, as she give him her best pickup line: ‘There are mites in your pillows, and if you sleep with your mouth open, they’ll crawl right in there.’

Nick found the line cute, as he offered his own: ‘You’ve got beautiful eyes, they’d look great on my floor.’

Kate does a party trick, tying a cherry stem with her cleavage, before Nick makes a kitten magically appear out of his coat pocket.

She gushes over the furry friend, before she asks the bartender for a bowl of milk, which she proceeds to drink herself.

Nick then asks her for a dance, requesting a romantic song from the piano guy (Andrew Dismukes), whose name is actually Guy Piano.
