‘I can’t see the lines!’ Alison Hammond is flustered as she struggles to read the teleprompter on This Morning but Dermot O’Leary jumps in to help her

Alison Hammond was left flustered when she was unable to read the teleprompter on Friday’s edition of This Morning.

The presenter, 46, attempted to talk about staycation accommodation that viewers could go to in Wales during the Summer, but found she couldn’t read her lines because the screen was too far away and needed Dermot O’Leary‘s help.

Trying to promote the places she and Josie Gibson visited back in 2019, she began: ‘Now, listen, if you’re looking for a staycation this summer the Welsh government have said its gonna be open… I actually can’t see the lines.

Alison claimed she was ‘just going to say it’ even if she couldn’t read the teleprompter, but Dermot stepped in and fed the words to her by saying: ‘hoping to welcome…’

She repeated what he said as he then read out ‘tourists after Easter’, and Alison said: ‘just go after Easter it’s going to be great.’

Dermot then added: ‘And the good news is both of those accommodations featured on the VT are available.’

The TV personality then looked around her as she said: ‘I need me glasses, where’s me glasses?’

Later in the show, Dermot joked around with Judi Love while they were chatting with the Loose Women about what was to come up on the programme.

Judi was dressed as a blushing bride to promote the fact they were going to discuss Married At First Sight on the programme.
