Pleased! The first ever Holey Moley Australia champion was announced on Monday night. It was elated Brisbane battler Mark Duncan (pictured) who took home the $100,000 cash prize when the extreme golf competition came to a close

‘It has saved us winning the $100,000. We are workers. We just get by,’ he told The Courier Mail.

‘It’s been tough in life. This is going to set us up and make life easier down the track so we aren’t living week to week.’

Mark had his good luck charm – a signed Greg Norman hat – in his pocket, and breezed through his early rounds.

With Montana and Jayden having both achieved a hole-in-one during their championship rounds, Mark stepped up to the Grand Final hole as the underdog.

Each player had to putt through the sphinx onto the rotating pyramids and then onto the green with a 100-ft shot at a hole-in-one.

With his family cheering him on, Mark hit an outstanding putt which saw his ball sink the hole and win him the $100,000.

‘I cannot believe it!’ Mark told host Sonia Kruger at the conclusion of the game, and appeared shocked by his win.

He revealed the prize money would be spent on his family, a new car and some golf clubs.
