‘This is a fun game!’: Susanna Reid sarcastically hits back at a troll who tried to call her and GMB co-host Piers Morgan a VERY rude word

Susanna Reid has sarcastically hit back at a troll who tried to insult her and her Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan on Twitter.

The TV presenter, 50, joked that the person had created a ‘fun game’ as she guessed what they could have been trying to say in their angry message, which read: ‘Two of you at everything that’s wrong in the country. Pair of c****s’ (sic).

Pointing out the apparent swear word was concealed with the wrong number of stars, Susanna cheekily said they could have been trying to say ‘clocks or chairs’.

Sharing the message to her own Twitter feed, Susanna penned: ‘Oooh this is a fun game. Clocks? Chairs?’

Dozens of her fans soon showed their support in the replies, with one writing: ‘It’s such a shame when people can’t even conceal spell insults properly…’

And another added: ‘Pair suggests footwear, so I think he’s misspelled Crocs (not out of the realm of possibility given how the rest of the Tweet reads)’

‘Maybe he just couldn’t spell so saved himself the embarrassment,’ added a third.

Good try: The star, 50, joked that the person had made a 'fun game' as she guessed what they could have been trying to say in their message which used too many stars to be a swear word

While other fans praised Susanna and Piers for their presenting style on GMB, with one person tweeting: ‘You and Piers are terrific on GMB… You’re the only presenters that hold the government to account….Piers has a lot to say for himself but has done himself proud during the Pandemic…

‘You have always been a top presenter….Don’t know why people are so rude…well done both…’

Another wrote: ‘You two are what’s great about this country! You make me smile and laugh every Monday to Wednesday when I am low and can’t leave my flat. Thank you for what you’ve done during the pandemic and even before it! I love you guys.’

Reaction: Several of Susanna's followers also commented on the mishap, with one saying it's 'such a shame when people can't even conceal spell insults properly'

‘Susanna, don’t let these sados get to you. There to much of this going on, I just report and block. There so much love for you from your loyal fans. You are the very best of the best,’ penned yet another follower of the journalist.

And someone else added: ‘Don’t understand why people are on YOUR page if they don’t like you if people have a problem why don’t they just block you.’

Susanna has previously addressed internet abuse, insisting she will not leave her job despite pressure from ‘trolls’ in an interview with the Mail On Sunday in 2018.

The star has been targeted by Twitter critics, who say she should quit her role because of fellow presenter Piers, who generates considerable controversy.

At the time of the interview, Susanna had recently been described as an ‘intelligently challenged leftie d***head’ and ‘a bigot’.

However she insisted she is unmoved by the abuse. She said: ‘People say, “How can you carry on working alongside Piers? For the sake of your own dignity, just walk.”

‘But why should I give up my paid employment because of the person sitting next to me? That doesn’t make any sense. This is my living, this is how I pay my mortgage. It would be awkward if I got up and left – but I don’t have any inclination to.

‘People also have a go because I take issue with the person sitting next to me. That’s when I know I’m winning. I’m staying right where I am.’

Susanna and Piers often leave viewers amused with their banter and earlier this month raised a few eyebrows as Piers tucked into Weetabix and baked beans.

Never one to shy away from controversial matters, Piers happily tucked in to the pile of loaded cereal, while rationalising the recipe.
