He’s hosted Channel Nine’s renovation show, The Block, since 2010.

And on Saturday, Scott Cam enjoyed a swim at Sydney’s Shark Beach with his wife Ann Cam and their daughter Sarah, 21.

The 58-year-old builder-turned-TV host emerged from the surf in black boardshorts.

He later dried off, wrapping a beach towel around his hips, and wore a red top.

Scott enjoyed a casual stroll with his family, no doubt enjoying the warm weather.

As the longtime host of The Block, Scott isn’t just clued in about renovating, but also has an impressive property portfolio to match.

He revealed his tips to help renovators avoid the mistake of being overly ambitious with their projects and running out of money, in an interview with Daily Mail Australia in November.

The tradesman said the best way to get ahead while renovating was to budget, get quotes, and ‘stick to what you know’.

‘Don’t get ahead of yourself, budgeting is the biggest thing. You see some big ideas on the telly and you can try and start them and do them, but you might not have the money to finish them,’ he explained.

Scott added that people have to be realistic when making changes to their homes.

‘Make sure you know your limitations when it comes to budget and what you can achieve yourself as well,’ he said.

‘You can pull a few walls out and all of a sudden you’re left with no walls for a long time.’

He concluded: ‘Stick to what you know, get quotes and keep an eye on that budget.’
