Miley Cyrus dines with Lil Nas X after they’d planned to record track together

It was revealed last month that they had planned to record a track together, before the COVID-19 pandemic all but ground much of the entertainment industry to a halt.

But Miley Cyrus and Lil Nas X appeared closer to realising their musical dream on Friday night, when they were seen dining together at Nobu in Malibu, California.

Miley, 28, whose dad Billy Ray Cyrus enjoyed chart-topping success with Nas, 21, on their country rap single Old Town Road, looked chic in an all-black ensemble.

Their outing comes after Nas revealed he had hoped to record a track with Miley, until the novel coronavirus pandemic forced such plans to the back burner.

Having already enjoyed huge chart success with her country superstar father, Nas hoped that he and Miley would be able to create more studio magic.

The Georgia native, real name Montero Lamar Hill, shared the news during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live last month.

During the conversation, titular host Andy Cohen first asked him about when he last texted with Billy Ray, who the rapper has since become close friends with.

‘The last thing that I texted Billy Ray Cyrus was like, how was he doing maybe a month or so ago?’ the 21-year-old rapper responded.

It was at this point that the host talked about seeing Nas and Miley together at a Tom Ford fashion show in early 2019.

‘And I was like, “God, I would like to see the two of them do something together.” Have you thought about that?’ Andy asked with an inquisitive tone.

Nas had already been toying with the idea of a collaboration with Miley around that time of the fashion show.
