Troubled actress Jessica Marais looks downcast as she walks barefoot to a yoga class – after saying the practice helps her with ‘the ebbs and flows’ of life

She recently said yoga helped her navigate ‘the ebbs and flows’ of life.

And Jessica Marais seemed to be focusing on self-care on Friday as she was spotted strolling barefoot to a morning yoga class in Sydney.

The Wrong Girl actress, 35, looked rather contemplative while arriving for the session in a trendy pink and black ensemble.

She displayed her toned physique in leggings and a black singlet, which she wore over a pink sports bra.

The Love Child star swept her blonde hair into a messy bun and went makeup free for the workout.

She slung a pink backpack over her shoulders and carried a yoga mat, towel and drink bottle.

Last month, she revealed how she had centred herself by practising yoga as she continues to mourn the death of her mother, Karen.

After 21 weeks of social media silence, Jessica shared a photo to Instagram of a spider web on the edge of a window on a rainy day.

‘Thanking all the beautiful teachers and the community at “This is Yoga” for helping me web the ebbs and flows with a little sweat. Okay a lot of sweat,’ she wrote.

The spider-web post came five months after she’d confirmed her mother’s death.

She shared a childhood photo to Instagram of herself with Karen at the beach, and while she didn’t mention her loss, Jessica’s friends knew what the post meant.

The Marais family has been marred by tragedy, as Jessica’s father, university dean Tony Marais, died of a heart attack when the actress was just nine years old.

Following the death of her mother, Jessica took to Instagram to share a childhood photograph alongside her late mum Karen and her sister
