Drew Barrymore celebrates her birthday with surprise visits from Cameron Diaz and Steven Spielberg

Drew Barrymore’s gathered quite the A-list group of friends throughout her four decades in Hollywood.

And some of the actress’ favorite people are stopping by her talk show for a surprise 46th birthday celebration on Monday.

Bestie Cameron Diaz, director Steven Spielberg, and former late night host David Letterman all surprised Drew on the show, dropping in to reminds her of some of her most unforgettable moments.

Guest Savannah Guthrie lead the actress – who looked stunning in white blouse, loose curls and purple eyeshadow – through an hour of visitors, all with special memories of the star.

In a promo for the special, Diaz got the party started screaming ‘It’s your birthday!’

Spielberg’s message made Drew get emotional.

She cried as she called the filmmaker, who directed her in her first film ET at the age of six, ‘the first person who cared about me.’ 

Then, Letterman appeared in the studio in-person, shocking the 40 First Dates actress.

As many remember, she shared a racy moment with the comic when she flashed her bare chest at him during a 1995 interview on his 48th birthday.

Drew was overwhelmed by his presence, hiding her hand behind her face in shock. 

‘Is she gonna be alright?’ Letterman asked Guthrie, only half joking.

But the excitement won’t stop there.

The hour-long celebration will also feature appearances from Jimmy Fallon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chelsea Handler, Henry Winkler, Tyra Banks, Molly Shannon, Tom Green, Nicole Richie, Keith Morrison, DJ D-Nice, Gordon Ramsay and Chloe Fineman.

And fans can join in on the fun by using a special Instagram filter to help figure out iconic Drew character you are most like. The filter launches Sunday.
