McDonald’s have announced their pancakes will be just 99p today, meaning those celebrating Shrove Tuesday can grab a bargain breakfast.     

The fast food giant’s breakfast will be on offer at just 99p per portion in their UK stores, during breakfast menu hours, and pancakes won’t be available all day as they have been in previous years.

This means those who are kitchen-adverse can save themselves the batter-covered kitchen surfaces and potential crepe disasters by letting McDonald’s do all the hard work for you.  

McDonald’s have announced their pancakes will be just 99p today, meaning those celebrating Shrove Tuesday can grab a bargain breakfast.

The treats usually come in packs of three and are served with syrup, setting you back a typical £2.49 – although prices vary by store. 

Although McDonald’s restaurants are currently closed for dine-in and walk-in takeaway, customers can still order via the Drive-thru, McDelivery and Click & Serve using the My McDonald’s App.

McDonald’s breakfast is available from 5am – 11am daily.

It comes after the restaurant delighted fans by announcing the return of their Grand Big Mac which is currently available.

What’s new on the McDonald’s menu? 

Grand Big Mac (£5.79 for a medium meal) 

Grand Big Mac with Bacon (£6.19 for a medium meal) 

Homestyle Crispy Chicken (£6.09 for a medium meal) 

Mozzarella Dippers (£1.89 for three dippers or £5.09 for nine dippers)

McFlurry Flake (99p for mini size, or £1.39 for a regular size) 

McFlurry Raspberry Flake (99p for mini size, or £1.39 for a regular size) 

Stores around the UK will be serving the new and returning items for six weeks, from today  to 23rd March, via partner delivery services or drive-thrus. 

The Grand Big Mac, which was first introduced to the menu in 2019, has returned in its original version, costing £5.79, for a medium meal deal as well as an option with bacon for £6.19 for a medium meal deal.

Also available is the Homestyle Crispy Chicken, the only new item on the menu, while Mozzarella Dippers are set to make a return, along with the Flake McFlurry and the Flake Raspberry McFlurry. 

Diners will also be able to get their orders delivered free from Just Eat, which has just announce the promotion running until 31st March, for a minimum spend of £5. 

The 731-calorie Grand Big Mac has the same ingredients as a regular Big Mac – two beef patties, and a special sauce with lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions sandwiched between a three sesame seed buns – but the patties and buns are bigger in size. 

By comparison, a regular Big Mac has 508 calories.  

The new burger will cost £6.09 for a medium-sized meal deal. 

Three other treats are making a return, with the savoury Mozarella Dippers being added back to the menu, costing £1.89 for a box of three, or £5.09 for nine dippers. 

Dessert-wise, the McFlurry Flake and McFlurry Raspberry Flake are also making a comeback, both costing 99p for mini size and £1.39 for a regular size.
