Lisa Snowdon hilariously snapped at Eamonn Holmes on Tuesday’s This Morning after he gave his unwanted style advice during her fashion segment.

The presenter, 49, was delivering a feature about the best boots to brighten up spring which prompted a series of sarcastic opinions from the Northern Irish star, 61.

Yet after a collection of comments, Eamonn was also hilariously told off by his co-star wife Ruth Langsford, 60, who told him to ‘just shush’.

Hilarious! Lisa Snowdon hilariously snapped at Eamonn Holmes on Tuesday’s This Morning after he gave his unwanted style advice during her fashion segment

At one stage, the presenter described one pair of ‘hideous’ boots as looking like ‘something has run down your leg’ and a set of wellies as something you’d find in the back of a newspaper for ‘old people’.

He quipped for a different pair of footwear: ‘The only time you saw a boot like that was when it was in your face… people who would beat you up wore those boots!’

Yet when Eamonn issued another opinion about a pair of wellies, calling it an ‘education’, he was hilariously told to ‘shush’ by wife Ruth as Lisa pretended to throw her cue cards at him.

Ruth warned: ‘Just shush now,’ to which Eamonn protested: ‘I’m just saying!’ with his wife adding: ‘Well don’t say anymore!’

While Lisa added: ‘You pipe down, OK? Me and Ruthie were talking!’

After Lisa showed off a pair of lilac lace-up boots, Ruth joked: ‘When I first met you I had lace-up little brown boots, I didn’t notice you complain about those!’

To which Eamonn insisted: ‘I didn’t complain, those are quite nice, I didn’t say there was anything wrong with those.

‘Why can’t I just be honest about certain ones, I’m sure viewers at home say “no, yes, whatever”. Am I not allowed an opinion?’

With Lisa replying: ‘You are allowed an opinion of course, just a bit too much opinion today, isn’t it?’

Talking at the end of the segment, Lisa said: ‘You made that more difficult for me Mr Holmes but I loved it!’

While Ruth joked: ‘You handled it well, well done’ with Eamonn adding: ‘We’re going to take a break while my wife tells me off!’

Viewers at home were left in hysterics over the segment as they called for Eamonn to regularly deliver his fashion advice.

One person said: ‘The fashion item with the boots has been hilarious. Eamonn just sitting there saying how it is, speaking for most of us at the state of some of them. Lisa handled it all brilliantly though. #ThisMorning.’

A different fan put: ‘Eamonn Holmes narrating the fashion segment with the boots and seeing Lisa about to explode is what I want every morning #ThisMorning.’

Another viewer quipped: ‘This has been the best “fashion” segment yet, thanks to Eamonn. #ThisMorning.’

A different account declared: ‘Eamonn should do the fashion segment in future, he’s hilarious…#ThisMorning.’

It comes after Eamonn was  slammed by This Morning viewers after he made a jibe about his wife Ruth weight on Monday’s episode of the chat show.

The couple are hosting the programme for the half-term break, marking their first return as presenters since their Friday slot was axed last year.

But Eamonn was accused of ‘body shaming’ Ruth during the It’s Behind You segment where a viewer calls in and describes what is behind the hosts, who have to guess the right answer.

During the game, a picture of Kate Middleton appeared on screen, with the caller saying: ‘She’s very thin,’ and ‘she’s married to…’ before his time ran out.

Eamonn turned to Ruth when he heard ‘thin’ and said: ‘She’s very thin, well it’s not you darling.’

Ruth ignored her husband’s remark and correctly guessed it was Kate Middleton before Eamonn added: ‘He wouldn’t say she was very thin and married to Eamonn Holmes, would he! No, he wouldn’t have done that!’

Viewers quickly took to social media to hit out at the remark, with one user saying: ‘Imagine body shaming your wife on national telly’.

Eamonn and Ruth will front the programme from Monday to Friday during the course of the half-term period this week after they replaced on Friday’s shows by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

The couple made a cheery comeback, with Eamonn sharing: ‘Half term, it’s Eamonn and Ruth on your screens until Friday.’

Ruth – who has been married to the Northern Irish host since 2010 following a 13-year relationship – added: ‘It certainly is and it’s lovely to see you all.’

This Morning airs Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 12:30pm on ITV.
