‘I couldn’t stop screaming’: Kerry Katona reunites with daughter Molly as she travels from Ireland

Kerry Katona revealed she ‘couldn’t stop screaming’ after her daughter, Molly, surprised her by returning to the UK from Ireland recently, in the midst of the third nationwide lockdown

The former Atomic Kitten singer, 40, claimed her daughter, 19, followed all the ‘correct precautions’, as current restrictions state you must not travel unless legally permitted to do so.

She said it was ‘amazing’ to be reunited with her oldest child, who she shares with Westlife’s Brian McFadden.

Kerry said to New magazine on Tuesday: ‘Molly recently came home after being in Ireland. She took all the correct precautions and quarantined and completely surprised me!

‘She knocked on the door downstairs and then came in and stood in the living room.

‘I went to answer the door and she was behind me! I couldn’t stop screaming – it was amazing.’

Kerry confirmed her daughter missed seeing her siblings and her mother, and said she would be staying until the end of February for her younger sister, Heidi’s 14th birthday.

She revealed she will then be heading back to Ireland. It is presumed that Molly will be returning to live with her ex-husband, Brian, 40.

Information provided on GOV.UK, as of Tuesday, stated: ‘Under current UK COVID-19 restrictions, you must stay at home. You must not travel, including abroad, unless you have a legally permitted reason to do so.’

The website also confirmed it is illegal to travel abroad for leisure or holiday purposes.

The Department Of Foreign Affairs for the Government Of Ireland also listed a Government Advisory against all non-essential international travel.

A spokesman for Kerry spoke to MailOnline about Molly’s recent travel. They said: ‘Kerry was very happy to be reunited with her daughter Molly.

‘Molly had work commitments in the U.K. which were kept a secret from Kerry until she arrived.’

Kerry is also the mother to Lilly-Sue, 18, with singer Brian. She shares children Heidi, 13, and Max, 12, with former husband Mark Croft, and son Dylan-Jorge, six, with her ex George Kay.

She is currently engaged to fiancé Ryan Mahoney, 32, after he asked her children for their permission to pop the question last August.

Kerry recently said she’s in no rush to have anymore children, but would use a surrogate to have one with Ryan if she changes her mind.

The singer also told how the pair are in ‘no rush’ to get married, joking that may even elope in secret.

In a new interview, Kerry reflected on her colourful love life and noted that in the past she would rush into marriage and babies, but declared that this time, things are different.

She told The Sun: ‘After three years I’m normally engaged, married, pregnant and divorced, and we’ve only just got engaged, so we’re doing something completely different this time but we’re in no rush to go get married.’

She went on to say that the couple have yet to set a date for their wedding, but added that they may potential ‘run off’ and tie the knot without telling a soul.

And with no immediate plans for their nuptials, Kerry also revealed that kids are also off the table, but if they do change their mind, she wouldn’t be the one to carry their baby.

Discussing the idea of expanding her brood, she exclaimed: ‘I’ve already got a bleeding orphanage here! I don’t want any more but if I was going to have a child, it would be by surrogacy.’
