Daisy Lowe and Myleene Klass lead the stars making pancakes on Shrove Tuesday

Image conscious celebrities had an excuse to indulge on Tuesday morning as lockdown weary Brits dusted off their whisks for pancake day.

Daisy Lowe and Myleene Klass were among a host of housebound stars showing off their culinary prowess as Shrove Tuesday fell on a Britain still gripped by the threat of COVID-19

Taking to Instagram, cooking enthusiast Daisy, 32, revealed a rather modest looking effort after failing to realise she could fill the entire frying pan with batter.

Wearing feathered silk pajamas while posing in front of her hob, Daisy looked like she’d barely broken a sweat – and little wonder, given the disappointing size of her pancake.

Captioning her snaps, she wrote: ‘Happy Pancake day… making @gizzierskine fail safe pancake recipe (although I didn’t realise I could fill the whole pan with the batter… thanks for the tip Giz!… I’ll have to make them for dinner too).’

Elsewhere Myleene Klass rolled up her shirtsleeves and whipped up a handful of rather more impressive pancakes with the help of daughters Ava, 13, and Hero, nine.

The Smooth radio presenter, 42, later showed off her efforts with Instagram followers as her children tucked in.
