It is unclear if the duo are currently living together as current Covid-19 rules prevent citizens from leaving home to meet others socially, unless they are in their support bubble.

It was reported on Sunday that police officers would carry out spot checks on drivers to see if they were travelling to see their lovers.

A Metropolitan police source said: ‘I’m going to be spending my Valentine’s Day ruining people’s Valentine’s Days’ and joked that officers could end up asking male drivers: ‘Is that your wife, sir?’

The force has not routinely conducted regular spot checks on drivers as part of its Covid rule enforcement before now.

Ella’s post comes after she recently returned to Essex following her sun-soaked vacation to Dubai.

Despite the coronavirus crisis worsening, stars of TOWIE, Love Island and Geordie Shore have been travelling around the globe in their droves.

Kym Marsh also hit out at influencers travelling to Dubai amid coronavirus restrictions in the UK and said she thinks the government should close the borders.

The TV presenter, 44, admitted she was unimpressed by photos on social media of reality stars living it up in the UAE while Britain is in the midst of its third lockdown.

Kym said in her OK! magazine column she thinks work trips should be put off for the time being.

She wrote: ‘Lots of influencers seem to be going abroad. If you’ve got to travel for work then fair enough, but I personally would be putting off that trip and staying home.

‘From what I can see from the pictures of people in Dubai, every man and his dog is there and it doesn’t look particularly socially distanced!’

From Monday, UK nationals or residents returning to England from 33 countries will be required to spend 10 days in Government-designated quarantine hotel at a cost of £1,750 for an individual.

The regulations were published just days before the scheme becomes law.
