And Addison Rae disclosed the ‘inspiring’ advice she received from her pal Kourtney Kardashian, to cope with the onslaught of online trolling and the pressures of fame. 

The TikTok influencer, 20, admitted she ‘looks up’ to the oldest Kardashian sibling, 41, as she discussed their unlikely friendship.

She said to Glamour on Monday: ‘It’s really inspiring to see people that are so happy in their lives and are so put together after everything they’ve been through. 

‘That’s why I look up to Kourtney a lot and her entire family – throughout everything you can lean back on your family and friends to really have that emotional and mental support. It really pulls you through at the end. 

‘Something that she told me was, “make sure you’re always enjoying what you’re doing because this is the life you’re living. Make sure it’s something that you’re proud of and you’re continuing to do the things you love.”‘

Kourtney and Addison struck up a friendship in 2020 and frequently grab dinner in Los Angeles or post social media uploads together.

The 20-year-old social media star has also created TikTok videos with her eldest son, Mason, 11. 

Addison revealed the secret to staying strong and positive while in the limelight, is having a great support network of family and friends, who she credits for ‘keeping myself happy.’ 

The Louisiana native admitted she has received lots of social media hate and drama from others who ‘don’t want people to be happy’. 

Addison, who is a trained dancer, revealed she would receive critical comments and comparisons at an early age due to the competition nature of the sport. 

However, she said she doesn’t let the negativity define her or tear her down, because she knows her true intentions.

Reflecting on her ‘proudest’ accomplishment, the 20-year-old confirmed that staying mentally healthy is her biggest achievement, as well as staying ‘grounded’.  

She also admitted there were times that she wanted to give up, after finding social media ‘mentally challenging’, but she now feels empowered to take every opportunity and accomplish everything she has dreamed of. 

Addison joined TikTok in the summer of 2019, and proceeded to upload dance videos to trending songs on her the platform. Within three months she topped over one million followers.

Since then she has amassed a staggering 75.7 million fans and followers on TikTok, which has earn $5 million in one-calendar-year ending in June 2020, according to Forbes.

Her popular dances caught the attention of multiple celebrities and even landed her a role in He’s All That.
