Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron has been immersing himself in Australian culture since relocating Down Under last year. 

And on Saturday, the hunk, 33, played one of Australia’s favourite sports, cricket, with the former Australian team captain Steve Smith, 31.

Posting to Instagram, Steve shared a photo of himself and Zac along with two other pals at an indoor cricket centre in Sydney.

The American actor beamed for the photo holding up cricket bat, as his one his friends carried a helmet.

‘Good fun in the nets smashing a few balls with these guys!’ Steve wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.

‘Not sure they will be getting a call up anytime soon,’ the athlete joked.

The High School Musical star relocated to Byron Bay in March last year in an attempt to escape the pandemic, and now reportedly plans to make the move more permanent. 

He is currently dating part-time model Vanessa Valladares, who he met last year when she was working as a waitress at Byron Bay’s General Store & Café.

In December, it was reported Zac had purchased land in Tweed Valley, a town on the Tweed River in north-eastern NSW, for $2million.

He’s apparently planning to build a home on the site and settle down.

In yet another sign the Hollywood heartthrob is here to stay, Zac also recently put his Los Angeles property on the market for $7.8million, which he bought seven years ago for $5.8million.
