Her identity is a closely guarded secret, but the woman behind the Celeb Spellcheck Instagram account revealed more details about herself during a Q&A with fans on Friday.

Sharing a series of photos of celebrity twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen smoking cigarettes, the mystery woman behind the cult Instagram account answered questions put to her by fans.

She confirmed that she’s 28-years-old, based in Melbourne, and admitted she’s ‘always been fascinated by pop culture’.

Hints: Her identity is a closely guarded secret, but the woman behind the Celeb Spellcheck Instagram account revealed more details about herself during a Q&A with fans on Friday

According to a report by The Sydney Morning Herald on Sunday, a group of social media influencers claimed to have uncovered the identity of the administrator behind the account.

They believe the prime suspects are two Melbourne-based publicists from the Mornington Peninsula.

One of the women is dating a former AFL star, while the other is close pals with a contestant from Australia’s Next Top Model.

But the woman behind Celebrity Spellcheck insisted that they’re ‘wrong’ and said she runs the account alone.

‘I completely understand why people are curious to know who I am – I personally don’t mind the speculation,’ she began.

‘HOWEVER, the two “guesses” that have been posted are both wrong and I’m not comfortable with people who have no association with the account being blamed for it. I really don’t think that’s fair.

‘If there was any way I could prove I’m not “them” without revealing myself I would do it. Just know that I have no connection to any “inner social circle” and I’m a completely normal person.’

She added: ‘If you found out who I am, it wouldn’t mean anything because I’m not known. Very anticlimactic, trust me.’

The woman joked that it would take ‘$100,000’ for her to reveal herself, and claimed she doesn’t get paid for running the account, which is dedicated to spreading gossip and correcting bad spelling.

She said her identity is so secretive that some of her family and friends follow the account and have no idea she’s the person behind it.

‘There’s lots of people on my personal Insta that follow this page!’ she confessed.

She said that only those in her innermost circle know her identity: ‘My partner and 3 or 4 friends.’

The woman said she’s ‘thankfully’ never accidentally posted a personal story to her Celeb Spellcheck account: ‘I always log out when I’m out boozing.’

Celeb Spellcheck’s identity was apparently the main topic of conversation at a ritzy pre-Australian Open event hosted by Piper-Heidsieck in Melbourne last week.

The woman behind the account told Daily Mail Australia on Monday that while she does work in the media, she isn’t a publicist.

Celeb Spellcheck began a few years ago as an account making fun of poor spelling on sponsored Instagram posts, but has since become a platform for holding influencers to account for their lies and irresponsible behaviour.

The account has attracted criticism in recent months, with the likes of Skye Wheatley and Tayla Damir accusing the page of ‘bullying’ them by correcting their spelling.

The admin has denied bullying the influencers she features on the account, saying: ‘This page is meant to be lighthearted and fun. I have definitely posted things in the past that I’m not proud of, but I do try to never cross the line.’
