The Osbournes: Sharon, 68, and Ozzy Osbourne, 72, stayed in BED for their first joint Loose Women interview, on Friday, which descended into chaos when their pets started fighting

Their interview began with a discussion about what America is like amid the coronavirus pandemic, with Sharon explaining: ‘You probably wouldn’t recognise it here now. Everything’s boarded up.

‘The streets are full of homeless – so much more than before. It’s very depressing. My eldest grandkid pearl is 9 and it’s getting to her. It’s getting to everyone.’

Asked if he’s had the Covid-19 vaccination jab, Ozzy – who has Parkinson’s disease – answered: ‘Me? Of course’ with Sharon adding: ‘He says of course – he only had it yesterday!’

Ozzy admitted: ‘It felt like I was being stabbed. My arm was hurting yesterday but I’m glad I got it, you know?’

Asked if he feel relieved the famous rocker said: ‘Absolutely. As soon as I got it I felt relieved!’ while Sharon explained that she hasn’t had a vaccine yet, because she caught coronavirus in December.

She said: ‘Yeh, I don’t get it for about another two weeks yet. But because I got it before Christmas I’ve still got a good amount of antibodies – they say it;ll last another six weeks.’

Asked whether they’re feeling more anxious, Ozzy confessed: ‘Oh yeh. There’s an air of doom everywhere you go,’ while Sharon admitted that she’s really struggled with her mental health.

Oh no! While discussing the impact of lockdown on their mental health, their cats and dogs began fighting with the dogs barking loudly at the cat

She said: ‘It’s very odd. Last week I had a really bad week, I couldn’t stop crying.

At this point their cats and dogs began fighting, as Sharon continued: ‘I couldn’t stop crying for three days. I couldn’t get out of bed. So depressed. And then I wake up another day and I feel so much better.’

Asked who who supports her when she’s feeling low, Sharon praised Ozzy for keeping her in check.

She said: ‘My hubby I suppose. He’ll come in and say ‘alright what’s going on? what is it?’ but when I’m like that I find it very difficult to talk.’

Discussing how it was being forced to be together constantly during the pandemic, Sharon confessed: ‘At first it was just great spending so much time together.

‘And then a couple of months ago he said “we’re spending too much time together” and I said: “well where do you want me to go? I can’t go anywhere.”‘

But, Sharon insisted that the pair being so close constantly, simply works for them, saying: ‘Oh it’s like well you two are so co-dependent It’s not healthy. What can I do about it? It’s a bit late in life to do it differently. It works for us.

WHAT IS PARKINSON’S? THE INCURABLE DISEASE THAT STRUCK BOXER MUHAMMAD ALI

Parkinson’s disease affects one in 500 people, including about one million Americans.

It causes muscle stiffness, slowness of movement, tremors, sleep disturbance, chronic fatigue, an impaired quality of life and can lead to severe disability.

It is a progressive neurological condition that destroys cells in the part of the brain that controls movement.

Sufferers are known to have diminished supplies of dopamine because nerve cells that make it have died.

There is currently no cure and no way of stopping the progression of the disease, but hundreds of scientific trials are underway to try and change that.

The disease claimed the life of boxing legend Muhammad Ali in 2016.

‘And I love him. do you love me?’ Sharon asked of Ozzy, who jokingly replied: ‘Sometimes!’

Asked if he was worried when Sharon had Covid-19, the Black Sabbath star gave a pragmatic response, saying: ‘It’s inevitable you’ll know someone who has it before it’s over. I just hoped and prayed she didn’t get really sick or worse.’

But asked if he’d struggle without Sharon, Ozzy didn’t hesitate in saying: ‘Absolutely. She’s my life. We’ve had our ups and downs along the way but we’ve sorted them out.’

Looking forward to their 40th wedding anniversary, the Loose Women panel asked if they had any big plans.

Sharon admitted: ‘No we don’t. This year it’s 40 together but next year is 40 married. It’s gone quickly but it’s been great, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.’

Addressing plans for a movie about their lives, Sharon revealed that they’re very close to having it signed up for creation.

And, although she doesn’t know who she wants to take on the role of Sharon, she revealed that she definitely wants an unknown actor to play her husband.

Sharon said: ‘Nearly. We’re like nearly nearly there. For Ozzy I want to find a totally unknown actor to play Ozzy because he’s such a larger than life actor. Because, if you get someone known they’ll say it’s so and so playing Ozzy.’

Before appearing on air with her husband, Sharon spoke to the panel on her own where she spoke about having had multiple engagement and wedding rings

She said: ‘I flushed one down the toilet, I threw one out of the window.

‘My real engagement and wedding ring got stolen years ago from our house in England. So we won’t put more money into others.’

‘I would guide him [Ozzy] but I like when he chooses them [rings] for him.’
