Hilary Duff shares an onscreen smooch with costar Steven Good during final night of filming Younger

Hilary Duff is reportedly getting ready to lead her own show, with the imminent Younger spinoff on the horizon.

And the former Disney Channel star is wrapping up the seventh and final season of the TV Land series.

She shared an onscreen smooch Thursday with costar Steven Good, during her final night of filming Younger in New York City, as she bid a bittersweet farewell on her Instagram Story.

The 33-year-old kissed the city goodbye in the most romantic fashion, as they filmed against the Empire State Building on a beautiful night.

She sold the chemistry as she popped her foot, which was stylishly clad in a black leather Valentino heeled boot, over matching skintight pants.

Duff was bundled in an oversized blush jacket, which obscured her baby bump, along with a multicolored striped scarf, trimmed in fringe.

Her look was completed with a pair of gold hoop earrings and some black leather gloves, as she carried a white leather handbag on a gold crossbody chain.

The blonde beauty carried a hockey program and a huge mascot-sized red finger with a fuzzy blue sleeve, which is sure to make for an interesting plot line.

She kept warm in black Canada Goose puffer, as she and her costar stayed safe in face masks between takes. 

According to IMDb, the Broadway actor has been cast for an eight-episode arc in the final season as Rob Davis, who appears to be a new love interest for Duff’s Kelsey Peters.    

Duff later took to her Instagram Story to muse about her final day of shooting, while clarifying that her family went back to Los Angeles without her.

She said in the video: ‘I’m not home yet, one more day. I had to stay behind. So, everyone went to LA, and I’m still at work. But that’s OK, ’cause it’s my last day, and I’m really sad about it. It’s so weird.’

The Metamorphosis artist also posted a behind-the-scenes clip of costar Molly Bernard, 32, chilling in her trailer.

She jokingly grilled her: ‘Why are you always here? When I get in here, you’re always in here. And all your stuff too. Why? They didn’t give you a trailer this season?’    

Duff’s Younger character is reportedly getting her own spinoff, after creator Darren Star told TVLine of the parent series: ‘We are unofficially planning [season 7] as a final season.’

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a network has yet to be determined for the new show, and it’s unclear if the pilot will come as a backdoor episode of Younger. 

Meanwhile, the highly-anticipated revival of her Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire was officially cancelled in December, after months in limbo.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘I’ve been so honored to have the character of Lizzie in my life. She has made such a lasting impact on many, including myself. To see the fans’ loyalty and love for her, to this day, means so much to me. 

‘I know the efforts and conversations have been everywhere trying to make a reboot work but, sadly & despite everyone’s best efforts, it isn’t going to happen. I want any reboot of Lizzie to be honest and authentic to who Lizzie would be today. It’s what the character deserves. 

‘We can all take a moment to mourn the amazing woman she would have been and the adventures we would have taken with her. I’m very sad, but I promise everyone tried their best and the stars just didn’t align. Hey now, this is what 2020s made of.’

It came after the Disney+ series was announced in August of 2019, and they subsequently filmed the first two episodes, before creative differences between the studio and creator Terri Minsky resulted in production being halted.

Duff starred as the titular awkward 13-year-old in the original Disney Channel series, which ran for two seasons from 2001 to 2004, as well as the 2003 movie, which received a theatrical release.

The Cinderella Story actress is apparently still on good terms with Disney, recently posting a photo of her Mickey Mouse shoes to her Insta Story and writing: ‘Mouse and I still friends.’
