Spears was first romantically linked to Asghari, a personal trainer, after meeting on the set of her Slumber Part music video in 2016.

In the new documentary, Culotta claimed to be the first person to be hired to ‘Team Brit’ around the time she signed her first record deal at the age of 15.

‘I am most happy that the New York Times doc asked me to give a bit of the “beginning” of my time with Britney because I truly knew the fans fell head over heels with her. I just wanted the world to remember that,’ she said when asked about the Britney special during the interview.

Culotta also addressed the pop superstar’s ongoing legal battle against father Jamie Spears over who should control her estate.

The legal proceedings have been played out against the backdrop of the #FreeBritney movement, led by fans who believe Spears is being controlled against her will.

‘To be honest, I didn’t then nor do I now understand what a conservatorship is. Especially for somebody’s Britneys age and somebody capable of so much I know, firsthand, she’s capable of,’ Culotta said of the court arrangement.

Family matters: Both Culotta and Asgheri have come to the defense of Britney in regards to her legal battle with her father, Jamie Spears, and the 13-year conservatorship

Just this week, Asghari, 27, shared some rare personal thoughts, and came to the defense of his lady in regards to the conservatorship she’s been under since February 2008.

‘Now it’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way,’ the Iran native wrote on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, February 9.

‘In my opinion Jamie is a total d**k. I won’t be going into details because I’ve always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn’t come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom.’
