Ashley Roberts turns heads in electric blue boots as she leaves work after throwing Amanda Holden a tropical paradise themed 50th birthday party

Ashley Roberts had a spring in her step as she strutted out of Global Studios in London on Friday, after hosting a fun 50th birthday party for Amanda Holden.

The presenter, 39, turned heads as she showed off her tanned and toned legs in thigh-high electric blue boots.

Ashley teamed the look with a grey V knit sweater dress which she layered over a black shirt.

She shrugged a black long leather coat which had a shearling trim over her shoulders and accessorised the look with cat eye sunglasses and a £2,080 Gucci Dionysus bag.

Ashley appeared in high spirits, if not a little windswept, as she left the studios after presenting the Heart Radio breakfast show.

The Pussycat Dolls star and her co-host Jamie Theakston pulled out all the stops for Amanda, as they hosted an early 50th birthday party.

Ashley surprised the radio host with flowers and bubbly and Amanda told their listeners: ‘oh I feel like I should wait until at least 7am’.

Amanda tucked into her favourite foods as she was presented with special birthday breakfast made up of all her favourite foods including a roast dinner complete with mashed swede, cheese and coleslaw sandwiches, omelette, salmon en croute, toast and marmite, chocolate digestives and sweets. She also enjoyed her favourite cocktail – a margarita.

With lockdown preventing the team from treating Amanda to a nice relaxing massage, they surprised her with a massage chair instead, to which the host joked: ‘Oh my goodness, this is what every lady needs.  Oh it’s very vibrate-y – welcome to Valentine’s Day!’

They also arranged for happy birthday messages with a baby photo of Amanda to be displayed on billboards across the UK and several personalised messages from the BGT judge’s celebrity friends.

Ashley’s appearance comes after she announced the Pussycat Dolls intend to release new music ahead of their May-scheduled tour.

She told the Heart Showbiz Hub podcast: ‘We’ll definitely do new music. We’ve got to get in the studio and make that happen.’

Ashley also touched on the coronavirus pandemic, telling listeners that it meant now was the perfect time for her and her bandmates to start working on new sounds.

She added: ‘Especially now with having Miss Rona (coronavirus) step in, we’ve got time and we want to get people ramped up and excited again before we go out on tour, which, who knows when that will be.

‘It has to be a time when everyone can be in a stadium and be safe and healthy. In the meantime, we’re going to keep the music flowing.’

The band – consisting of Ashley, Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta – announced their music re-launch back in 2019, but have had to reschedule their reunion tour twice amid the coronavirus pandemic.
