Kerry Katona says she would use a ‘surrogate’ IF she decides to have kids with fiancé Ryan Mahoney

She’s already a mother of five children, from her three previous marriages.

And Kerry Katona has told how despite not having any immediate plans to have children with her fiancé Ryan Mahoney, she would use a surrogate should she change her mind. 

The Atomic Kitten star, 40, who accepted 32-year-old Ryan’s proposal in September last year, also told how the pair are in ‘no rush’ to get married, joking that may even elope in secret.

In a new interview, Kerry reflected on her colourful love life and noted that in the past she would rush into marriage and babies, but declared that this time, things are different with Ryan. 

Kerry was married to Brian McFadden from 2002 to 2006, Mark Croft from 2007 to 2011 and the late George Kay from 2014 to 2017.

The former singer shares daughters Molly, 19, and Lilly-Sue, 18, with Brian, Heidi, 13, and Maxwell, 12, with Mark and youngest daughter Dylan-Jorge, five, with George.

Reflecting on the changes in her life, she told The Sun: ‘After three years I’m normally engaged, married, pregnant and divorced, and we’ve only just got engaged, so we’re doing something completely different this time but we’re in no rush to go get married.’

She went on to say that the couple have yet to set a date for their wedding, but added that they may potential ‘run off’ and tie the knot without telling a soul.   

And with no immediate plans for their nuptials, Kerry also revealed that kids are also off the table, but if they do change their mind, she wouldn’t be the one to carry their baby. 

Discussing the idea of expanding her brood, she exclaimed: ‘I’ve already got a bleeding orphanage here! I don’t want any more but if I was going to have a child, it would be by surrogacy.’

Indeed, the reality star has previous touched on the idea of using a surrogate after ‘nearly dying’ while giving birth you youngest child DJ, as she told she was in ‘no rush’ to start a family with Ryan.

She told new! magazine in September: ‘I think it’d be really selfish when I have five amazing, to get pregnant again knowing how I almost died in labour last time. Why put myself through that when I could go through surrogacy? So watch this space.’  

Kerry added to The Sun that having ‘five kids by three different fella’ was ‘never the plan’, but adding that it was the way her life had turned out and she has ‘no regrets’. 

Meanwhile, the TV personality added that following her split with George Kay, she was left broken hearted and the idea of entering a new relationship left her ‘physically sick’, adding she didn’t feel she ‘deserved’ to have a partner.

She went on to say that after ‘craving’ somebody to love, she’s found her ‘happily ever after’ in her personal trainer beau, and she could be happier.

She gushed: ‘I finally found it with Ryan. I’ve been married, divorced, married, divorced — and now I’m a widow. But I believe it doesn’t matter how many times you fail as long as you keep getting back up.’ 

Ryan got down on one knee during a family holiday in Spain in August last year, and in a sweet gesture, first asked Kerry’s kids for their mum’s hand in marriage.  

Back in June, Kerry praised Ryan for being ‘the most normal relationship she’s ever had and revealed she wanted him to propose.     

Speaking to New! Magazine, the ex Atomic Kitten star gushed about her love for Ryan saying: ‘I can’t see my life with anyone else, I trust him implicitly.’ 

‘He’s dedicated, determined and loyal and he’s been an incredible father figure to my kids.

She added, at the time: ‘I’ve been looking at Cartier rings and I’ve even called up enquiring about one.’
