Geordie Shore’s 10th anniversary cast ‘have kicked off about quarantining for Colombia series’

The cast of Geordie Shore‘s 10th anniversary have reportedly kicked off about having to quarantine for 20 days, leaving the show in chaos.

A source has told The Sun that some of the reality stars lined up to appear in the special Colombia series are even threatening to quit rather than isolate.

It is understood that the celebs will have to isolate for ten days on arrival in South America as well as spending 10 days in a hotel in the UK when return home.

Claims: The cast of Geordie Shore’s 10th anniversary have reportedly kicked off over having to quarantine for 20 days (Pictured some of the shows original stars: Gaz Beadle, Jay Gardner, James Tindle, Charlotte Crosby, Vicky Pattison, Holly Hagan and Sophie Kasaei- it is not yet known who’s involved in the Colombia series)

A source told the publication: ‘It’s caused utter chaos and the cast have all kicked off – some are threatening to quit over it.

‘The thing is, it’s added almost a month onto the job and while it will be fun to film, it means some of them have had to cancel important jobs and won’t be able to see their boyfriends and girlfriends for an extra two weeks after being away for filming.

‘Everyone wants to make the series happen but it’s a nightmare with all the new rules and keeping everyone safe.’

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Geordie Shore for a comment.

The popular MTV show is said to be relocating to South America so the cast can still party amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Although it is not known when filming for the series is starting, Colombia is on the UK government’s list of red countries.

Arrivals from Red List nations will have to quarantine at a Government-designated hotel for 10 days, with hotel quarantine starting Monday.

This will cost travellers up to £1,750 each for a ‘quarantine package’, although the Government is paying the upfront cost and will bill them afterwards.

Several former stars who no longer regularly appear on Geordie Shore are thought to have been asked back for the special, however not everyone has agreed.

It was recently reported that Gary Beadle has allegedly refused to take part as he’s ‘grown up and moved on’.

The reality star, 32, shot to fame alongside co-stars Vicky Pattison and Holly Hagan as well as on-off girlfriend Charlotte Crosby after the show launched in 2011 however he has since started a business and had two children with fiancée Emma McVey.

While MTV bosses are also thought to be talking to Scotty T about making a return for the show – years after he was axed when snaps of him snorting cocaine emerged.

It was claimed last week that MTV bosses in the UK would ‘love’ to have him back but the US team is worried as he’s ‘a loose cannon’, reports The Sun

Scotty found fame in 2012 when he joined the Geordie Shore cast for its fourth series but was reportedly suspended in May 2017 due to his hard-partying ways and then axed after pictures of him snorting cocaine emerged in December.

In December 2017 he was pictured appearing to snort a substance as well as puffing a cigarette while appearing to flash his genitals at a female contestant on the set of his show, Just Tattoo Of Us, at Leighton TV Studios.

He was then seen heading into a toilet and doubling over with a white object held to his nose amid concerns from insiders over his increasingly bizarre behaviour.

There has already been Geordie Shore special, Geordie Shore: Their Story, which aired in 2020 and saw a range of stars reflecting on their childhood journeys to life in the spotlight.

Holly Hagan, Sophie Kasaei, Marnie Simpson, Aaron Chalmers, Nathan Henry, Abbie Holborn and James Tindale also appeared on the spin-off.

In a trailer clip uploaded to the show’s Instagram account, model Holly said: ‘I had absolutely no idea how big Geordie Shore was going to get!’

While Father-of-two Gaz reflected on his days as a Lothario as he admitted: ‘Back then I was so arrogant.’
