Kate Mara goes casual in a gray sweatshirt as she sweetly holds her daughter’s hand on a walk in LA

Kate Mara enjoyed a stroll for two on Monday when she stepped out in Los Angeles‘ Silver Lake neighborhood with her daughter at her side.

The 37-year-old actress rocked a laidback look with a baggy gray sweatshirt and a pair of slim black leggings.

She had on weathered white sneakers and carried some supplies in a stylish woven straw backpack while blocking out the sun with chic clear-framed sunglasses.

The star of A Teacher kept her red tresses tied back in a short ponytail, and she wore a white N95 mask to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Her daughter, who held her hand while they walked, looked cute as a button in a pair of tan corduroy overalls covered in black polka dots.

She also had on a black shirt and wore bright pink shoes.

Kate looked as if she had packed a lunch for their outing, as she carried a metal lunchbox in her other hand.

The lunchbox, which read, ‘Marvel Comics Super Heroes,’ was illustrated with a scene of The Fantastic Four, including The Thing, the Human Torch, the Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic.

The lunchbox likely has sentimental value for Kate, as she and her husband Jamie Bell met when they were film the misbegotten 2015 Fantastic Four movie, which was directed by Josh Trank.

Kate starred as the Invisible Woman, while Jamie played Ben Grimm,

The film was lambasted by critics and bombed at the box office relative to its large budget.

A Polygon profile of the director from May 2020 delved into how the film was a victim of studio interference, along with Trank’s inability to manage the production efficiently.

However, the film was a success in at least one way for Kate and Jamie, as the two started dating after production had ended 2015.

They got engaged in January 2017 and revealed they had secretly wed in July of that year.

Kate gave birth to their daughter in May 2019, and the intensely private couple so far have not revealed her name.

Jamie also has a seven-year-old son whom he shares with Evan Rachel Wood.

He and the 33-year-old actress were married from 2012 to 2014

In January, Kate revealed that her acclaimed Hulu miniseries A Teacher wouldn’t be returning following the conclusion of its first season.

‘I have heard a lot of people who love the show ask that question, ‘When is Season 2?’ It makes me laugh just because, no, to be honest, there hasn’t been and there was never really any discussion about more seasons,’ she told The Wrap.

She starred in the series as the eponymous high school teacher, while Nick Robinson, 25, played a 17-year-old student that she seduces.

‘I wish we were doing three more seasons of it, but I don’t know how we would continue unless there was no time passing at all, because we’re both playing sort of older than we are [at the end],’ she mused.
