The twist-loving filmmaker shot Old on 35mm with 20 castmembers, 40 American crewmembers, and a Dominican crew – none of whom came down with COVID-19 during the September 26-November 15 shoot.

On October 13, M. Night (born Manoj Nelliyattu) boasted that one of the ‘complicated’ choreographed shots took six hours to cover seven scenes resulting in only two minutes of screen time.

Of Shyamalan’s 13 past feature films, 10 have been box office hits, but only three – The Sixth Sense, Signs, and Split – have been critically acclaimed.
