Selling up! Activewear founders Lorna Jane and Bill Clarkson both offload their Los Angeles homes for a combined $22 million
Fitness entrepreneur Lorna Jane Clarkson and her husband Bill have sold their two Los Angeles homes for a combined $22.6million this week.
The businesswoman, who launched her first eponymous retail store in 1990 with her husband Bill, listed their California compound for sale last year.
The two properties sit on more than 4,000 square metres and include The Bailey House, which was designed by architect Richard Neutra and built in the late 1940s.

According to Domain, the Bailey House sold for $14.6million while the second sold for $7.75million.
It’s understood that the same buyer bought both homes.
Set on an expansive block of 4000 square metres, the compound features a fire pit, pool, wine cellar and koi pond.

The main house has seven bedrooms in total and come with a home theatre, gym and home office.
Mr Clarkson revealed that couple decided to offload their property as they’re spending most of their time in Australia.

‘We had already decided to downsize our LA home prior to COVID-19 and were in the process of getting it ready for sale when the pandemic hit,’ he told The Wall Street Journal.
‘If anything, the coronavirus has made us second-guess our decision because we think the property is the perfect way to isolate yourself and your family.’
The couple began building their athleisure empire after Lorna began making her own activewear in the late 1980s.
The business has since grown to have 200 stores in Australia and the USA.
