Tennis bad boy Nick Kyrgios and wheelchair basketballer Dylan Alcott are all smiles as they pose for photos ahead of the Australian Open

Nick Kyrgios joined Dylan Alcott at a media event ahead of the Australian Open on Sunday. 

The tennis bad boy, 25, and the wheelchair basketball champion, 30, were all smiles at the Kia Courtesy Cars handover at Melbourne Park. 

They were joined byA ustralian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley and Kia Motors Australia Chief Executive Officer James Cho.

Nick beamed as he stood alongside Dylan, wearing a mustard toned hoodie and blue shorts, along with red running shoes. 

Dylan, who was equally cheerful, opted for an all-black outfit consisting of a Nike hoodie and track pants with sneakers.  

While Dylan finished the look with a white cap, his buddy Nick added some flair with a pair of earrings.

The pair of lauded athletes did double duty as they posed with the car, while giving a quick speech. 

Both men laughed heartily during the chat, appearing to amuse one another with anecdotes. 

Nick’s mood seemingly had improved since Friday – after losing in straight sets on Friday in a warm up match in Melbourne, he exhibited his famous temper.

The world number 47 was sluggish in his 6-3 6-4 defeat against Borna Coric, with the volatile Australian clearly hampered by a knee injury. 

In the second set, Kyrgios was issued a warning from the chair umpire following an expletive-laden tirade, only to then smash his racquet and hurl it into the stands. 

Luckily for Kyrgios, no fans were courtside at the Murray River Open due to Covid restrictions.
