Sonia looks ABS-olutely Fabulous at 55 in plaid mini skirt

Sonia Kruger put women half her age to shame when she stepped out in Sydney on Thursday.

The age-defying Channel Seven host, 55, stopped traffic in a very short plaid mini skirt and a matching crop top that showed off her incredible figure.

The outfit complemented her tanned and toned legs and flaunted a hint of her cleavage.

The Strictly Ballroom star was grinning from ear-to-ear, no doubt ecstatic about the incredible success of her new mini golf show, Holey Moley.

On Monday night, the launch of the program notably beat MAFS’ Grand Reunion finale in the ratings.

Holey Moley saw an impressive 983,000 metro viewers tune in to see how the wacky competitive reality show would play out.

Sonia recently shared the secret to her age-defying figure and complexion in an interview with Body+Soul magazine.

‘If you focus on it too much you can spiral a bit, and I don’t want to ever do that. I want to still be active, energetic and vibrant for a long time yet,’ she said.

‘Not just so I’m able to have fun with my daughter when she’s a teenager, but also because it’s a more fun way to live.’

While she’s a fan of exercise and good nutrition, the TV host is a believer in indulging, too.

‘I don’t live like a monk. I don’t cut anything out but I give myself some good breaks in between [social occasions] to recover,’ she said.

‘I don’t want to be a person who denies myself all the good things in life. As they say, you might not live longer. It’ll just seem longer.’

In the accompanying photo shoot, Sonia looked stunning in a blazer with nothing but underwear underneath, showing off her incredible pins.

On the magazine’s cover, Sonia showcased her youthful visage in a cream-coloured singlet and wide-legged pants.

In the past, Sonia said she achieves her incredible shape at age 55 via twice weekly personal trainer sessions with the Sydney celebrity PT Dan Adair.

‘Things like pull-downs, push-ups [and] pull-ups are all go-to moves,’ Sonia told Now To Love.

While Sonia has said in the past that she doesn’t follow a strict diet plan, she does try to avoid carbs, especially processed ones like pasta, bread, and white rice – which, she said, don’t really agree with her.

Another thing that keeps Sonia in shape is dance and music-based workouts, which she devised for her website Strictly You – and which help to make working out fun.

She also uses the celebrity-loved skincare brand Rationale morning and night and loves the French brand Bioderma’s micellar water, which she uses to remove her makeup after filming.
