Justin Hemmes walks on crutches after breaking his ankle in a kite surfing incident

Billionaire pub baron Justin Hemmes broke his ankle in a kite surfing incident in NSW, two weeks ago.

And on Monday, the 48-year-old held on to the crutches as he enjoyed a lunch date in Bondi with his girlfriend Madeline Holtznagel, 24.

The businessman wore white pants, a black T-shirt and pair of comfortable sneakers as he hobbled around.

Madeline showed off her slender frame in tiny black all-in-one and a pair of white sneakers as she walked alongside her beau.

Justin broke his left ankle while kite surfing at Sussex Inlet, a town in the South Coast region of New South Wales, two weeks ago.

The businessman is waiting for medical experts to decide whether he’ll need surgery to repair the damaged ligament.

Last week, he shared a series of photographs capturing the incident to his Instagram page and wrote: ‘This was never going to end well……’

Meanwhile, Justin and Madeline have been spotted out-and-about in Sydney several times lately after confirming their romance.

Madeline lifted the lid on their relationship in October, telling The Sydney Morning Herald that she was yet to introduce Justin to her parents.

‘My parents and my sister Anna haven’t met him yet, but [her other sister] Simone has been introduced to him and really liked him,’ she said.

Madeline remained tight-lipped about how long she and Justin had been dating, but hinted they’d been seeing each other for longer than reports suggested. 

‘We have known each other for two years and met when I was modelling in Singapore,’ Madeline said.

The couple sparked romance rumours when they were spotted partying together on his Bombardier Challenger jet in August.

When asked about his new romance, a coy Justin said at the time: ‘We hang out a bit.’
