Ex-Geordie Shore star Scotty T ‘may RETURN for the show’s Colombia series’

Scotty T is reportedly in talks to make a return to Geordie Shore for its upcoming series filmed in Colombia.

The reality star, 32, shot to fame in 2012 when he joined the cast in series four but was axed in 2017 for ‘bad behaviour’ after pictures of him snorting cocaine emerged.

It has now been claimed that MTV bosses in the UK would ‘love’ to have him back but the US team is worried as he’s ‘a loose cannon’, reports The Sun.

The source told the publication: ‘Scotty is in talks to return to the show – the UK team and the cast especially would love to have him back but the problem is that MTV’s US team are worried about the scandal.

‘Scotty is a loose cannon and can’t be controlled so they don’t want to run into another scandal on one of their biggest series that they show all over the world.

‘But Scotty makes great TV and the cast love him.’

MailOnline has contacted Scotty’s representatives and MTV for a comment.

Scotty found fame in 2012 when he joined the Geordie Shore cast for its fourth series but was reportedly suspended in May 2017 due to his hard-partying ways and then axed after pictures of him snorting cocaine emerged in December.

In December 2017 he was pictured appearing to snort a substance as well as puffing a cigarette while appearing to flash his genitals at a female contestant on the set of his show, Just Tattoo Of Us, at Leighton TV Studios.

He was then seen heading into a toilet and doubling over with a white object held to his nose amid concerns from insiders over his increasingly bizarre behaviour.

Speaking in March 2019, Scott revealed his troubled past with drugs where he began taking cocaine every day after losing close family and friends.

The star, who won Celebrity Big Brother in 2016, said that after receiving help from a rehabilitation facility in Scotland, he spiraled again after the death of his step father and three close friends.

However despite his tumultuous past which saw him get fired from MTV after snaps of him snorting a line of cocaine emerged, Scott admitted that he still takes the drug ‘recreationally’.

Discussing his time on Geordie Shore during an interview with The Sun, Scott said: ‘While the show was on air, I’d be doing club personal appearances every night and I started taking cocaine to cope.

‘I used to be completely anti-drugs, anti-smoking and despise all of that. But I fell into that lifestyle.’

Scott, who has ADHD, said that he couldn’t use caffeine as a way of keeping his energy levels up because it affected his anxiety, so to cope he would take cocaine.

Besides his reality stints, the former Newcastle University student has also appeared in a number of other shows including long-running Australian soap Neighbours.

However in December 2019, Scotty was declared bankrupt at the County Court in Newcastle.

In 2018 his own ‘entertainment activities’ company, Scotty T Ltd, went bust after owing creditors £182,983. The company accounts showed he had fixed and current assets including savings and money owed to him of £192,960.

The notice states the star has recently lived at an apartment in Waterloo Street, Newcastle, as well as on Moor Lane, a plush street in Ponteland.

His occupation was listed as ‘personal service’.

Public documents show the petition in regards to his own bankruptcy was filed in 2019 before confirmed on March 19.

Bankruptcy restrictions are usually discharged after a year. However, an Insolvency Service official confirmed this would not be the case for Scotty T.

A spokesman said at the time: ‘Scott Timlin did not fully co-operate with the bankruptcy proceedings and so his discharge has been suspended indefinitely until such time as he does.’
