The Bridget Jones star, 50, looked engrossed in conversation with co-star Haley as she clutched a takeaway coffee.

The two appeared to be holding scripts and Haley cracked a joke with Sally before she was ushered away by a member of the production team.

The Columbus actress, 25, wore a blue leather jacket over a long pink tulle ballgown to keep warm in the capital’s chilly temperatures.

Haley will play the romantic lead in the upcoming romance feature, opposite EastEnders actor Ben Hardy, 30, who is set to star as the male lead.

The story is said to take place over over a 24-hour period and follows Hadley (played by Richardson) and Oliver (played by Hardy), who begin to fall for each other on their flight from New York to London.

It will be an adaptation of Jennifer E. Smith’s novel of the same name, which was published in 2011.

The novel’s plotline follows seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan who misses her flight to London from JFK Airport in New York by four minutes.

She is travelling to her father’s second wedding but is angry at him and sceptical about love after his affair – with the woman he is now set to marry – tore her family apart.

Hadley is assigned a new flight, and is put sitting in the same row as a British Yale student named Oliver.

The pair have an instant connection, however, when they arrive in London, they lose track of each other in the chaos of the airport.

The logline for the film reads: ‘Is it misfortune or fate that separates them when they land? The probability of ever finding each other again seems impossible, but love — and London — may have a way of defying the odds.’

Sally Phillips has been cast as Oliver’s mother while Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher will play Val, Oliver’s eccentric Shakespeare-loving father.

Other recognisable cast members include Catastrophe’s Rob Delaney, while Jameela Jamil will act as the story’s narrator.

Vanessa Caswill, who was behind the 2017 BBC miniseries Little Women, is directing the feature, and Katie Lovejoy is listed as the movie’s screenwriter.
