Khloe Kardashian accused of using a ‘black woman’s emoji’ while others defend her choice

Khloe Kardashian was met with backlash for using an emoji on Twitter earlier this week.

The KUWTK star, 36, who is currently in Turks and Caicos, took to the social media platform on Wednesday to post a face-palm symbol, which appeared to offend a series of social media users as they insisted it resembled a ‘black woman’.

While some fans claimed the icon was of a ‘tanned’ tone, others highlighted that she chose the figure which mirrors her ‘brown hair and light skin colour’.

Another critic pointed out that she used an emoji with a pale complexion and blonde hair just a day earlier in a message which read: ‘I always forget to post my photos on Twitter.’

Others added: ‘Sis got a tan in Turks and Caicos and is now using black emojis. On the second day of BHM. I’m done

The media personality has previously been accused of culture appropriation when she styled her locks into cornrows for her sister Kourtney’s 40th birthday party in May 2019.

A few months earlier, businesswoman Khloe caused a stir over the same issue as she wore a curly wig to Diana Ross’ 75th birthday.

MailOnline has contacted Khloe’s representatives for further comment.

Tristan is also father to four-year-old son Prince Oliver with his former partner Jordan Craig, who was still pregnant when he began dating Khloe.
