‘Home sweet home’: Zac Efron embraces the Australian lifestyle as he lives in a $140,000 caravan while filming Stan Original movie Gold

He’s been living in Australia for almost a year, and is halfway through filming the Stan Original movie Gold.

And Zac Efron seems to have fully embraced life Down Under, as he revealed on Wednesday he was camping in the South Australian outback in an $140,000 Lotus caravan – which he appears to be renting for free as part of a sponsored deal.

The Hollywood star, 33, looked like a true blue Aussie in an Akubra hat as he posed outside the luxury motorhome while smiling for the camera.

‘Home sweet home,’ he captioned the post on Instagram, then thanked the company which had provided the caravan.

Zac’s temporary home features a comfortable double bed, a leather sofa and seating area, pop-up TVs, a cooker and hot water.

The High School Musical star didn’t reveal if his girlfriend Vanessa Valladares, 25, was accompanying him on set.

However, she has been spotted visiting him regularly over the past few months.

When Zac isn’t filming in South Australia, the pair are based in Byron Bay, where they are believed to be staying at a $22million property the actor bought in September.

Meanwhile, Zac may soon be jetting off to Dubai to finalise a ‘huge endorsement deal’ – and he apparently wants to take Vanessa with him.

‘He will travelling with his new Australian team and his girlfriend Vanessa,’ a source told Daily Mail Australia.

Zac met Vanessa in the middle of last year when she was working as a waitress at Byron Bay’s General Store & Café.

The Seventeen Again star moved to Australia in March last year in an attempt to escape the Covid-19 pandemic in the United States.

He now reportedly plans to make the move more permanent.

Last month, it was reported Zac had purchased land in Tweed Valley, a town on the Tweed River in north-eastern NSW, for $2million.

He’s apparently planning to build a home on the site and settle down with Vanessa.
