Other TikTok users who tried the trick recommend dropping the egg on a 45-degree angle to ensure it cracks down the centre.

Social media users dubbed the idea as ‘genius’ and ‘clever’, with many left wanting to try it.

‘And to think I’ve been cracking eggs like a bloody peasant this whole time. Gravity is gonna be my peasant from now on,’ one person wrote.

‘I’m going to try his but only after I’ve scrubbed the egg clean. I’m not keen on chicken juice on my egg,’ another said.

But while the hack is simple, others online weren’t convinced the method is the best way to crack an egg.

Some were also concerned they would burn themselves when removing the egg shell from the hot pan.

‘So you know how with Post-It notes it’s really annoying when you do this and you try and stick it down and it’ always curved up like that,’ Jackie ‘O’ Henderson said in a clip shared on Instagram.

‘Well, here’s the hack on how to avoid that.’

To try the trick for yourself, Jackie said you should first ‘peel from the side’.

Then, stick the Post-It note down on the table and it should remain completely straight, meaning you have more space to write on the note.

Thousands who saw Jackie’s idea were impressed with it, writing ‘this is life changing’ and comments like ‘amazing’.
