Why the stars from season seven of MAFS were banned from the Grand Reunion

Married At First Sight’s Michael Brunelli reveals the real reason why stars from the seventh season were banned from the Grand Reunion

Married At First Sight’s most controversial participants reunited for a Grand Reunion on Sunday, but contestants from season seven of the show were noticeably missing.

And on Monday, Michael Brunelli, who appeared on the show in 2019, revealed the reason why not all the stars weren’t invited to film the two-part special.

‘Why did no one from season seven – apart from Elizabeth Sobinoff and Seb Guilhaus – go? It is because their season was a mess?’ one fan asked the 29-year-old in a Q&A session on Instagram.

‘Because they all went rogue. They sold their stories to the paparazzi so everything was public before the show even aired,’ Michael revealed.

‘In reality TV, “off camera” doesn’t exist (anytime they aren’t filming). The cast of that season had all their drama off-camera and it made no sense to the viewers.’

‘They ruined their entire season and it was sh*t to watch. I stopped because nothing made sense. So obviously they weren’t going to get invited back,’ he explained.

Stacey Hampton, Hayley Vernon and Natasha Spencer are three names fans wouldn’t have forgotten from season seven of the show.

Amanda Micallef and Tash Herz also starred as the show’s first-ever lesbian couple in 2020.

Elizabeth Sobinoff returned to the show last year as an intruder bride and was paired with former AFL star and aspiring actor Seb Guilhaus.

Meawhile, Cyrell Paule had a tense showdown with Jessika Power during the Married At First Sight Grand Reunion on Sunday.

The blonde bombshell had previously described Cyrell and boyfriend Eden Dally’s romance as ‘fake’ and suggested they’d had a baby together for publicity.

Jessika acknowledged saying their relationship was a sham but denied saying anything negative about their 10-month-old son, Boston Dally.

Cyrell was frustrated that Jessika would not ‘take ownership’ of her remarks and hurled a glass of white wine at her, leaving their co-stars shocked and appalled.

‘Very mature darling, very mature,’ Jessika snapped, before walking off in tears.

The Married At First Sight Grand Reunion continues Monday at 7.30pm on Nine
