TikTok user records his mom’s hilarious argument with Siri

A young man from Texas has left TikTok users in hysterics after recording his mother in an argument… with Apple’s virtual assistant Siri.

Aberhaam captured his mother’s conversation with the virtual assistant at a point at which his mom had already grown quite frustrated, with Siri presumably not understanding what she wanted.

Aberhaam’s mom repeatedly asks Siri why she is being ‘rude’ and ‘not nice’ while getting nowhere — only to pivot and apologize to the AI assistant to make up.

'Why you are so rude to me?' his mother asks firmly

Siri answers, 'Hmmm... I don't have an answer for that. Is there something else I can help with?'

Aberhaam, who lives in Dallas, regularly shares funny videos with his Arab mother, including many in which he teases her for her pronunciation of various English words.

In this video, uploaded in December, he doesn’t let her know that he is recording her, instead lurking behind walls and laughing as he records his mother’s unsuccessful attempt or order food.

‘Hey Siri,’ his mother says in the next room.

‘Uh-huh,’ Siri answers.

‘Why you are so rude to me?’ his mother asks firmly.

'I ask you, and you don't help me. Why you are not nice?' Aberhaam's mother demands

Here, she gets no answer

Here, she gets no answer.

‘Hey Siri. I tried to deal with you. Why you are so rude to me?’ she asks again.

‘Hmmm… I don’t have an answer for that,’ Siri once more replies.

‘I ask you for cajun food,’ Aberhaam’s mother interrupts the voice. ‘In Dallas. Hey Siri. Be nice.’

Here, Siri doesn’t respond again — and after a pause, Aberhaam’s mom tries a new tactic.

Commenters on both TikTok and Reddit are going wild for Aberhaam’s mom, calling her an ‘angel,’ ‘sweet,’ ‘precious,’ and ‘the cutest mom I’ve ever seen.’

‘Siri you better be nice to her next time,’ one commenter chastised.

‘The most wholesome thing about this video is she has such a grounded base of what’s right and wrong that she apologized to software after she realized she didn’t like how she responded to Siri,’ said a Redditor.

‘You better call Apple rn and tell them to apologize,’ another commenter told Aberhaam.
