Cat on a hot car roof: Driver sets off for work without realising her pet has hitched a ride

A sleeping cat woke up with a startle when it realised its owner was driving off in the car it was napping on.
While people typically leave their sunglasses or their wallets on the top of cars, this time it was a white and ginger cat that risked falling into the road as the driver headed off to work in Khon Kaen, Thailand.
Security footage from outside the driver’s home shows the feline going for an unexpected ride on the roof of its owner’s SUV.
Fortunately a neighbour spotted the adventurous cat and alerted the driver who is seen returning home five minutes later.
A catnap did not go quite to plan when a feline stayed on the roof of a car as the driver headed to work in Khon Kaen, Thailand
In an impressive show of skill, the cat manages to stay on top of the car as it drives along the bumpy dirt track
Despite being on the move, the cat barely moves an inch as the car reverses out of the complex and drives out the gate.
It manages to stay perfectly in place despite the car bouncing around over the bumpy dirt track.
It manages to stay on the roof for the entire journey, returning just a few minutes later in one piece.
Once the car returns five minute later the cat climbs down as soon as it can to escape the ordeal
As soon as it realises it is nearly home the feline makes a quick getaway, climbing off the car while it is still moving.
Once it has pulled up the driver can be heard shouting.
