A woman who cancelled a first date because she had a ‘bad feeling’ about the man who asked her out after meeting on her commute has revealed her instincts were correct when she received a string of insulting messages.

TikTok user @sadzmadz, who lives in San Francisco, took to the site to share her experience, revealing a string of messages in which the investment banker described her as a ‘joke’ for cancelling on him.

‘You’re probably really young and not good with the social skills – possibly too much screen time,’ he wrote.

‘You’ll never marry. You need more confidence. You’re a joke. So timid and weak. Hope you grow up.’

He went on: ‘Are you rebelling? Do you not feel desired? Cuz I desire you. But you knew that when I talked to you. Or did you not catch that I was sexually attracted to you?’

The user, whose name is Madz according to her profile, said that she ‘dodged a bullet’ and her followers agreed.

One user said: ‘Honey you didn’t dodge a bullet, you dodged an entire tank.’

TikTok user @sadzmadz, who lives in San Francisco, said that she kept having a ‘bad feeling’ before a date and therefore cancelled it

At the beginning of the video, she shared a selfie, writing: ‘I chose to cancel a 1st date w/ an investment banker because I kept having a bad feeling.’

She then went on to share a series of texts laden with insults from her would-be date after she cancelled, leaving her followers shocked.

After Madz told her date she no longer wanted to meet, he told her she was delusional, adding: ‘Who do you think you are?’

Madz replied: ‘I’m sorry you feel that way. I think you’re intoxicated, so I’d appreciate it if you would stop texting me.’

Her date responded: ‘Umm, you’re not that hot. Welcome to Ca. How dare you waste my time.’

In the next screenshot, he said: ‘I’ve never been flaked on. That is not the decent thing to do.

‘You seemed so nice and intelligent to just totally flake like that – I would’ve given you a heads up if I had to cancel.

‘You’re probably really young and not good with the social skills – possibly too much screen time.

‘Not sure how you do things out in Hickville but you should def learn to respect people’s time sweetie.’ [sic]

He added: ‘You’ll never marry. You need more confidence. You’re a joke. So timid and weak. Hope you grow up.’

He went on: ‘Are you rebelling? Do you not feel desired? Cuz I desire you. But you knew that when I talked to you. Or did you not catch that I was sexually attracted to you?’

On the next slide he said: ‘You should prob go back home and get married. This lifestyle is not becoming of a young lady like yourself. You have no decency to tell me no. You’re a joke.’

One TikTok user commented: ‘That ain’t normal behaviour. You did the right thing’

Another wrote: ‘The longer he texts the more you know you made the right call…’

A third said: ‘Always trust those bad feelings. You definitely dodged more than a bullet.’

Other users asked whether she could explain what gave her a ‘bad feeling’ about him and Madz made another video to explain.

She said: ‘I had actually met this guy in person when he asked me on a date. I was on my commute and he stopped me and told me that I looked beautiful and he would love to take me out to dinner one night.

‘He was really, really cute and I was excited and I was like if we go to a public place, it would be fine.

‘But then after I gave him my number, he text me wanting to meet the very next day which I thought was kind of weird.

‘And then he checked in four times to make sure I was still going to come. And that just seemed odd to me.

‘I talked to my mom about it and she thought it was weird too so that’s kind of where the gut feeling came. It was just too much too fast.’
