Inside Scott Cam’s stunning $6million Mediterranean-style mansion

The Block host Scott Cam has just shot down rumours that he splashed out a whopping $4.2million on The Block stars Jimmy and Tam Wilkins’ Brighton property, after their sale failed to go through.

But it seems that the beloved tradesman has quite a strong property portfolio of his own.

Scotty, 58, is the proud owner of a $6million Mediterranean-style mansion in Sydney’s affluent Vaucluse.

The Channel Nine star bought the pad back in 2012 for $4.6million, but according to a recent report by Realestate.com.au, it’s now worth about $6million.

The sprawling pad features four bedrooms and three bathrooms and a pool.

It also has a cave gym and a recording studio so he can do his voice-over TV work remotely.

Earlier this week, Scott rubbished rumours he ‘saved the day’ by buying The Block’s Jimmy and Tam Wilkins’ $4.2million Brighton property after they were forced to put it back on the market.

His manager, Chris Giannopoulos, told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday that the rumours are ‘not to believed’ and that Scott did not purchase the property, after cyber security expert Emese Fajk failed to pay up.

‘It’s pretty simple. The rumours are not true. It’s unfounded,’ he said.

Giannopoulos explained the Channel Nine star has been unable to comment on the situation himself as he is away on holidays.

On Thursday, a Nine spokesperson also told Daily Mail Australia: ‘Contrary to media speculation earlier this week, Scott Cam has not purchased Jimmy and Tam’s house on The Block. These claims are untrue and baseless.’

Earlier this week, the high-profile real estate agent selling Jimmy and Tam’s $4.2million home on The Block admitted that he ‘wouldn’t be surprised’ if host Scott bought the luxurious property.

McGrath St Kilda principal Michael Townsend told The Herald Sun on Tuesday that he ‘knows nothing’ about the swirling rumours, but said it could be very possible because of Scott’s close involvement in the show.

The Palm Springs-style property in Melbourne’s affluent Brighton area remains on the market more than a month on, although it isn’t publicly listed.

Mysterious cyber-security expert Emese Fajk – who claims to have worked with Apple and the United Nations – initially bought the home at auction for a show record of $4,256,000.

But just days before Christmas, both the 28-year-old’s settlement and deposit payments failed to go through. That’s despite Ms Fajk sending ANZ Bank screenshots to Nine producers as ‘proof’ of her purchase.

Jimmy and Tam were left in the unenviable position of having to find a buyer for a prestige home right as the summer holiday period began, a slow period for the real estate market.

The failed sale of Jimmy and Tam’s home has devastated the Queensland couple who even watched the finale over celebratory drinks with Ms Fajk.

The renovators choked back tears as they told A Current Affair how they’d been left blindsided by the strange turn of events.

‘Here we are now not knowing what’s going to happen,’ Jimmy said.

‘It’s something no one ever saw coming, no one ever expected, but it’s something we now have to deal with.’
