The Made In Chelsea star excitedly FaceTimed her beloved mum, who also stars in the E4 show, as she headed to hospital on Thursday to receive the jab.

Jane, 68, was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis in 2017 and has been isolating on her own, away from Binky, who is expecting her second child.

Happy news: Binky Felstead excitedly FaceTimed her beloved mum Jane, who also stars in the E4 show, as she headed to hospital on Thursday to receive her COVID-19 vaccination

Sharing a screenshot of her FaceTime with her mum on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, Binky wrote: ‘This little sauce pot is at hospital having her vaccination!!!!!’

The photo showed Jane wearing a facemask as she spoke to her daughter, giving a thumbs up, while a beaming Binky returned the gesture.

Jane was diagnosed with MS in 2017 after years of believing she had fibromyalgia following a misdiagnosis from her doctors.

During the latest lockdown she has been living alone in her London flat, while Binky recently moved into her new home with fiancé Max and her daughter India, three, while she announced she is expecting her second child later this year.

Earlier this week Jane revealed the challenges of her illness, telling her Instagram followers she had been turned down for three flats, because, she believes, she’s a ‘more than a bit wobbly.’

Giving an update, Jane wrote that it had ‘been a dodgy week,’ explaining: ‘Had some sort of cold thing going on and struggled to drag myself off the sofa. Deffo on the mend which is fab as I’m only good with being poorly for a day or two max, and I’ve got plans for a few changes.’

She revealed she has been searching for a new flat to rent but ‘imagine my shock/horror when I was turned down! Errr – this doesn’t happen into me. I go in, and make my decision and voila- jobs a goodun! Not now it seems. I have lost my 3 faves and I’m convinced it’s because I am a bit ( well actually more than a bit) wobbly!’

WHAT IS MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS?

Multiple sclerosis (known as MS) is a condition in which the immune system attacks the body and causes nerve damage to the brain and spinal cord.

It is an incurable, lifelong condition. Symptoms can be mild in some, and in others more extreme causing severe disability.

MS affects 2.3 million people worldwide – including around one million in the US, and 100,000 in the UK.

It is more than twice as common in women as it is in men. A person is usually diagnosed in their 20s and 30s.

The condition is more commonly diagnosed in people of European ancestry.

The cause isn’t clear. There may be genes associated with it, but it is not directly hereditary. Smoking and low vitamin D levels are also linked to MS.

Symptoms include fatigue, difficulty walking, vision problems, bladder problems, numbness or tingling, muscle stiffness and spasms, problems with balance and co-ordination, and problems with thinking, learning and planning.

The majority of sufferers will have episodes of symptoms which go away and come back, while some have ones which get gradually worse over time.

Symptoms can be managed with medication and therapy.

The condition shortens the average life expectancy by around five to 10 years.

‘I might ask for a ramp.. a grab rail or a shower! I have never suffered any sort of discrimination and let me tell you it sucks!’ she said.

‘All the agents were perfectly sweet, and embarrassed – and struggled to find a reason for my rejection, when I was going in well over the asking price! thing is I can’t really be cross as I can understand it, and if my dream of renting – where I call a landlord to fix my probs doesn’t work out I shall have to buy.’

‘But still it was a bit of a lesson in what life must be like for those who aren’t my age and have less ability to ‘sort it’ and it’s sad.’

Jane mused: ‘I’ve always felt that MS came to me to provide the challenges that would ‘grow me.’ Don’t get me wrong, I don’t necessarily want to be grown – but it’s not a bad thing for somebody like me he’s never really touch the sides of life.’

Jane told Good Morning Britain in 2018 that she doesn’t plan on living past the age of 85, as she doesn’t want to lose her ‘dignity and independence’ in old age.

She revealed that her MS battle has made her dread becoming infirm and reliant on her children as she ages.

Jane chose the age of 85 because her children and grandchildren would be grown up and independent by then.

She said: ‘If I get to 85, if I’m upright and able and valuable in some way, I’ve done my grandchildren, they’ll all be in their 20s and my kids will be in their 50s and late forties, and I’m kind of thinking that’s quite a nice time to bow out.

‘The next stage, and I’ve witnessed it, is for you to lose your dignity and your independence and for me that would be the worst thing in the world.’

She continued: ‘I would rather be gone than for any of the children I adore to have to take me to the bathroom.’

She also explained that her faith meant she was looking forward to an afterlife.

She said: ‘I’m really excited about the next stage, a whole different subject this I know you don’t want me to go into it now. I have massive belief and I think the next stage is so exciting. I’ve had a ball and I’m going out on a high.’
