Alongside the sweet snap, Kelsey wrote: ‘One Step at a time. When we were given @tomparkerofficial diagnosis, a day I will never forget. The doctor said, listen one step at a time.

‘At the time I thought what on earth does he even mean, my husband has just been told he has stage 4 cancer?! However I now know exactly what he meant and those words ring so true to me.

Kelsey admitted that some days she just goes to the bathroom and cries, while detailing her good and bad days.

‘Every day is a new day. Some bad, some totally horrendous and some days are good days. People say to me “I don’t know how you do it?” I’ll be honest with you. I don’t know either, there are days I go to the bathroom and cry.

She sweetly added: ‘I’m not ashamed to admit that. I do know that these three human beings who am so lucky to call mine, they are my reasons for everything. They get me through the horrendous days, the bad days and we bloody enjoy the good days.

‘My heart beams with pride when I look at how far my husband has come- he really is my inspiration. One step at a time, it’s ok to take each day as it comes. #glioblastomaawareness #glioblastoma.’

The post came hours after Tom revealed he has had his first Covid vaccination.

The singer, who is classed as extremely vulnerable after being diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour, took to Instagram to document his day.

Tom, who recently revealed his stage four tumour has ‘significantly reduced’ and is ‘responding well’ to treatment, urged fans to ‘just get it done so we can move on with our lives.’
