In addition to the bushfires, Adelaide sweltered through a heatwave, with temperatures as high as 41C on Sunday.

This also affected fellow MasterChef star Poh Ling Yeow, who runs a successful food stand – Jamface – at Adelaide Farmers’ Market.

She took to her Instagram Story to announce that she would not be setting up her stall because of the weather.

‘Sorry Jamfacers, on account of the hot weather and wilting cakes Jamface is not at @adelfarmmarket today. Keep cool we’ll see you next week,’ she said in her post.
